Townof this is the only combat simulator that gives you the posability to fly around the world. Now need lots of patient and unlimited fuel to accomplish this.

Now for accrucy. This simulator was dedicated to the the war in South Pacific. So the most accurate maps are for the south Pacific.

The map of the rest of the world is relative accurate but not as datailed as the South Pacific.

Luckly we have a very dedicated group of guys that have been very helpful in fiiling with gap.

The one I will recommen the most for you to down load its Sitz new texuter for the world converted from FS2204 for CFS2.

Its located in the scenery section of www.sim-outhouse.com

It has two parts to it. Down load it to a Temp folder. Unzip it and copy and paste into the world folder. You will be astonish in the improve graphics it will give your CFS2.

Do not forget to down load the new water for this new

You can further improve your CFS2 world by downloading and installing scenery. There has been tons of it made for CFS2 so can virtually populate your CFS 2 world with cities all over the place.

I am pretty much content with Mask Rider's Pacific Scenery, best out there in my and many others opinion, some Euro scenery and and a few odds and ends.

Personally, for world fight I just skip over and run my FS9.  ;D

Thanks for the info Chaps

I do use FS9 when I am not online but tend to have problems going online with it to fly with my buddy, so I am just checking out alternate ways to acheive that. I already know you can download pretty much any aircraft so theoretically I download a quick plane and go anywhere.

Both CFS1 & CFS2 have generic scenery covering the area outside their respective default theatres. This is very basic & by no means accurate. As Fireman pointed out there is excellent 3rd party scenery including mesh covering other parts of the world. This is by no means comprehensive & some areas (like the mainland US) will not be available to my knowledge. It's possible to import the default FS98 or FS2000 default scenery into the respective versions of CFS but you would obviously need FS98/FS2000 to do it.

Just curious, I have had a comp problem so not running anything at the moment. I was using the PacTex textures, will the one's Stitz has done for the world override these? And if so do they look better? Thanks

Hi Stiz,
first class textures got them all thanks to someone with broadband.
One question tho' will it conflict with steve mclellands Euro scenery? i use his for the airfields ,just got a new comp' & in the process of loading all my stuff I tried your 's first, mighty impressive 8) be a shame to have to take it off, any suggestions?

Never heard of steve mclellands Euro scenery, but if it the scenery is only airfileds with objects there shall be no conflict..cept for maybe if they use the stock textures then they might be a bit bright green but that is eaisly fixed :)

This is another European scenery that is also of pretty good quality. Thats the beauty of CFS2, it gives you so many options to pick from.

Its alway up to the consumer to pick what he wants and prefers. Just remember to backup everything in case you do not like your new install.

Check this out.
