Bombs are a no-show

I have several aircraft for CFS2 that have payloads assigned.
When I preview them, I see both the aircraft and the payload I selected. When I get into Free Flight however, there

Try patching the MDL file of the problem aircraft with the MDL Converter tool. http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs2/articles_SDK_mdlconverter.asp
Leave it on the default setting & don't use the Optimize Graphics option.

There were two that I was concerned about, I have some more goofing around to do with the others yet.

1. Hawker 75N (don't remember who's).  The mdl converter solved the problem.

2. JU52 "Iron Annie". When I tried the mdl converter, the only thing that showed up in free flight was the bombs. I put the original mdl back! Still have the problem. As a temporary fix, I used the mdl from another JU52.

Now, when I open the bomb bay, I get two extra gunners...looks cool...but not the effect I want.  The bomb bay opens on the other one.

Some of the others are modern jets, the mdl converter gives me "unable to save mdl"...or words to that effect.

It really depends where you downloaded the files. Most (not all) CFS2 aircraft with their own DP will be already patched. The "unable to convert MDL" error usually means it's already been converted or not necessary as with the latest Gmax or FSDS2 designs. If you can give me details I'll check them out.
