The best thing about CFS2 is the number of addons and additions that are available for it. You can fly just about all the major combat aircraft from WW1 to the present day from any location on the globe. Even now, with CFS3 around, new planes and scenery are being added on a daily basis. For me CFS2 remains the best combat flight sim ever!

The fact it runs - well - on a variety of low spec machines, I started with CFS2 on a p200 with 64MB RAM and a lowly Voodoo2, despite this rig, CFS2 ran very well as some of my screen shots of the time showed....

Today I love CFS2 as it runs absurdly well with 8x Anti alaising etc etc etc @1280x1024 full everything blah blah blah!

And it still shows CFS3 up!!!

I agree with Tempest too. I love the Harrier I just got that you can hover with. (AWESOME!!!) Besides, there's no modern aircraft in CFS3...

I agree with HawkerTempest5.  Combat Flight Simulator 2 is still the best combat flight sim, even with CFS3 around.

There's no end to it . I can imagine ppl giving up CFS4 to play CFS2.

This morning while in a free flight around Formosa using Maskrider's scenery (without addon Mesh), the stock scenery was great.

Prompted me to want to install the mesh to see how much better it could be.

1)incredible amount of add on's,almost daily now.
2)huge variety of missions etc, available out there.
3)remember what we got for 50usd.8 years ago?
4)enjoying mission builder with the help of cody coyote.
finally i'd like to add that i abandoned the game as soon as i bought it 3 years ago  because there was nothing there, now its different.aminx
