How do I end a mission?

Hi, I'n new to CFS2 and there is something I haven't found in the manual yet and maybe some kind soul will put me straight.

I've took off, I've shot the enemy to bits, I've managed to land my battered plane back on the deck, I've turned my engine off, but how do I tell CSF I'm back?  If I use the escape key I get the picture telling me I aborted the mission.  What do I press to say 'mission over' and get my medal?

Don't remember seeing an on screen prompt though...strange.
