Hi,
Welcome to the world of combat flight simulation - you might want to warn your wife that she won't be seeing as much of you as before...

CFS1 is a great place to start, CFS2 has better visuals and more realistic flight models (and is more difficult, but proportionately more rewarding). The sheer range of add-ons for either program is staggering and will add much to your enjoyment of both.
CFS3 I can't run on my computer, though God knows I've tried... I've heard both good and bad about CFS3 (with an emphasis on the latter...). I just wish I could try it out...
For online play, go to The Zone:
http://zone.msn.com/en/root/cdrom.htm Apparently you can also play CFS2 on a site called Hyperlobby , but I've never tried it.
If you're starting out, you might want to think about joining an online 'squad' - it's a great way to learn. 3NG is always looking for new members for its CFS2 squad - check us out at: http://www.3ngawards.homestead.com (shameless plug - sorry

)
Look forward to seeing you online!

BTW - an excellent source of modern aircraft for CFS1 (other than simviation, of course...

) is
http://www.navyair.com - some nice aircraft there, too
