Looking for Mike of the "Die Staffel" website

Postby denishc » Sat Jan 03, 2004 1:04 am

Recently the "Die Staffel" website has been shut down.  To those unfimilar to "Die Staffel" it was a great site, providing simmers with quality repaints and unusual aircraft used in combat from the 1930's to present day.
I was hoping to drop Mike, the site's owner, a line and tell him thank you for all the work he had done to bring us the site.  But it seems the E-mail address he had vanished along with the "Die Staffel" site.
If any one knows Mike and has contact with him tell him that "denishc" says thanks for all hes done and wish him a Happy New Year for me.
And thanks for all your help.

G'day mate,

I agree with you.
Die Staffel shutting down is a terrible thing for CFS1 fans.
I'll pass your sentiments along to Mike Colclough.
If you want some extra information, e-mail me.

Hello mikencfs (aka Oldboy),
Thanks for your quick response to my post.
Yes, the loss of "Die Staffel" marks a black day for all CFS1 fans.  I hope that Mike continues his involment in flight simming, he is a talented repainter, does real good work and selects fine subjects to post on his site.  He was even dabbling in aircraft design.  I hope to see more of his work in the future, perhaps even posted here on "Simviation".

Hi denis,
It's bez.
I'm really sad about that too.
I tried emailing him but the adress "doesnt exist".
I liked the auto install  feature all his aircraft had.
It's sad to see him go.
I'd love to catch you on the zone sometime.

Bezz

Hi Guys,
Well, I have been in hiding, having been sick with pnuemonia, trying to work part time, and getting ready for a return both to college and the workforce.  I have taken a break from CFS while CFS Inc, sort themselves out.  They bought www.diestaffel.com before I could, and as such put their own information up on their site.  At present I dont have funds to start my own website, nor do I feel inclined to, though I have all my site info available, as well as ll my planes that I worked on.  Depending on what happens, I may put these new planes up on a new site that I will control.

Till then, if you wish to send me an email, send it to diestafel@hotmail.com, as that one will always work.

Thanks for all your support over the past few years, as I have had a wonderful learning experience in the process.  Who knows, I might even put the new planes on simviation, or give them to RAF662 as a present!

Thanks

Mike Colclough(AKA Die Staffel)

Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear about your illness but glad you're up and around again.
Denishc and I passed what little info we had back and forth.
The loss of the site was a blow but whatever you decide is okay with us.
Drop us a note or post your decision here so we'll know where to look for the planes.
Best of luck.

Helloooooo Mike!!

Good to hear from you old mate and glad to see your still with us!  Been trying to get a hold of ya......

First of all, Happy New Year!  (Belated as it is.)

Second, glad you feeling better!  Hope 2004 is a health and prosperous year for you.

Third, my condolences on the loss of "Die Staffel".  It was a Great site and will be missed!  The flight sim committee took a major hit when your site went down.  But it was a good run....better than most and gave us all lots of hours of enjoyment.

And lastly, thanks Mike for all the hard work you did to bring the "Die Staffel" site to all of us out here on the web and for keeping it running as long as you could.  I know it was time consuming and took alot of work on your part.

I hope you continue to work on CFS aircraft, you really have a talent for it and your work is better than most, don't let it wither and rot. I look forward to seeing more of your work posted on other sites or a site of your own making.

Stay in touch.  Keep us posted on what you have going on and let us know if anything new comes up.

 Once again.......thanks!
