Where can I find a program like Aircraft Container Mgr.

Postby Gringo6 » Mon Sep 25, 2017 7:00 pm

MY computer has mal-functioned many times and as a result I've lost
Aircraft Container Manager.

I see other people using it and hope to buy one somewhere, but can't
find one.

Is there another program out there like ACM ?

What is it's name and where can I buy it ?

Help is needed.

Hagar
do you have the program installed in the ProgramFiles(86) folder?
If so that could be your problem to my knowledge every 32 bit program will install in the Programfiles(86) folder by default and Windows 10 locks that folder down even though you turn down the UAC it can still cause problems for some programs. I have a program that acts up every now and then and I think that is the reason. I eventually will uninstall it and try installing it in a different folder to see if that helps
Try installing it in any other folder to see if that will work. Of course there is no guarantee it will . It could be a very old program that will not run under Windows 10 period. 8-)

No. It's a standalone application that will run from any location on your PC.

Precisely. I'll try it on my Windows 7 laptop later.

I have mine installed in E:\Program Files\dvdata\Aircraft Container Manager\AircraftContainerManager.exe. It works fine with FS9 and will work with FSX for FS9 models. It does not work with FSX models.

You have to create a folder called Aircraft in your FSX folder and transfer the whole airplane folder for the plane into it for ACM to see the plane. Remember that the coordinate callouts for FS9 are different than the FSX callouts for X, Y and Z.

I sure wish it was updated to read FSX models.
