 Oh well, looks like it's time to put the bike away till the spring  Had snow the other day and the temperature is hovering around the 0c mark and -2c at night. A wee bit too cold for my liking. Hope that the weather is holding up for all you other riders out there

As long as it is not chucking it down with rain and or not freezing then I ride all year.........Mind you in the winter I do wear a heated waistcoat... :D

I have had no choice, since I stored my (1982 Austin Allegro 1.5 HL... ....) car away, in 1990, and my only means of transport every day since, are my trusty motorcycles, come wind, rain, or sunshine...(what is sunshine, "in England", I ask myself?).... :?

Fortunately, as I am long retired (since 1984) I can decide whether to go out for a ride on my bike...or not!

Just uploading my latest video trip, today, to You Tube....

...watch this space!

Here you go Chums!.... .....!

Yesterday's (Sunday) trip into the countryside, braving the cold and damp, just to get out for a ride!....>>>

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBA6Y0j43AM

My bike sounds so much better with the baffles removed from both silencers (mufflers)!...

....and drowns out much of the transmission whine!.... ....!

She no longer sounds like a frustrated Sewing Machine!

I still need to swap my front 14-tooth sprocket for a 15-tooth sprocket, to reduce the engine revs when cruising....

...I just need a willing mechanic with a chain riveter.... ...!

Into English November weather now, so no more enjoyable, warm sunny rides 'till next year!.... ....!

Enjoy the Video, and don't forget to "like" and "subscribe".... ;) ...!

Thanks, Tug!.... :D ....!

Its a shame that some of us live in an area of the World where inclement weather often prohibits our enjoyment of our Motorcycle riding hobby!

I would dearly like to enjoy my rides, in nice warm/hot, dry weather, all of the year.... ...!

But the Weather God/Goddess has decided that that is not going to happen, in my case, in England!... ...!

I just have to take my chance, now and again, when He/She is not watching me!... ;) ....!

More stuff to come.....Weather permitting!

You are in North Carolina, Dave...

...just as cold as it is here in England.... :( .....

Its surprising how many of our Biking Chums there are along the Atlantic coast, from New England down to Florida.

Lots of them in the Carolinas!

Up USA North they are freezing cold, down USA South they are basking in warm sunshine.

..it seems so unfair..... ....

When it comes to weather, I can recall the ONLY day I was able to venture out for a ride on my bike in the warm, wearing just a tee-shirt without all the usual leather, etc, jacket stuff that I normally have to wear to keep the cold out!....>>>>

One day Heaven in 2016...>>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhjM-XzOrQ0&t=776s

Just one day of sunshine warm enough to be comfortable, in the whole year!

I watch the videos of my biking chums in the lower reaches of the USA, and how I envy the warm/hot sunshine that they enjoy for most/all of the year.
I would love to go for a ride through a wide open, clear blue sky countryside, devoid of encompassing, claustrophobic, hedgerows, wearing the minimum of clothing.
The sort of countryside in the USA, where the desert reaches right down to the road, and houses and building frontage reaches down to the roadside with no walls or hedges in between!
A ride through the old frontier towns of the South and South-west would be a joy!.... ....!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0JMInqzk7s

Over here in England, we are cursed with cool/cold damp vegetation surrounding us!

9 months of every year are spent/wasted, waiting for "Nice Weather" to arrive, to enjoy outside.

I need to be surrounded by Palm Trees waving in a warm Summer breeze.... ...!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpBtO9j1wcg

At the moment its early December in England, and its bl**dy cold...Temperatures mostly below zero. Much too cold, wet, damp, and miserable for my old bones!.... .....!

Florida?...New Mexico?....Arizona?...Nevada?....or Southern California?..... .....!

We are into December now, and as usual our motorcycle activities are seriously curtailed with the cold and approaching snow and ice conditions.
Even so, I have to brave the conditions on my bike every now and again to stock up with foodstuff, etc, and this is one of my latest trips just prior to a spell of freezing fog and hoar frost!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tdh-GOQKcQ

I love going out on my bike, but when the weather gets really cold at this time of the year I don't find my journeys particularly enjoyable!

I spend my time watching my biker chums on You Tube having fun in the warmer/hotter parts of Southern USA, and wishing I was there with them!

Hopefully, I will get an occasional day now and then, when the weather is acceptable, and I can upload and post some more videos of my journeys.

In the meantime, pop over to my Channel for journeys in and around England and Wales...>>>>

...and the return journey back home again, braving the cold, (for me), with all my shopping goodies.

Its the start of December, Winter, in England now, and a long time before the weather gets warm again for my old bones.

In the meantime, I have to constantly watch out for warm(er) breaks in the weather to go for an occasional ride, and a chance to video my journey!

Don't know if this has been posted before, a classic piece of Motorcycle history, is it me or did it seem more dangerous back then.

Fascinating to watch, Rich!

Times I remember very well!

Scrambles, Trials, Speedway, etc, every Weekend, from the 1940's onwards for me!

A special Breed of Motorcyclists.....Win or Die...nothing in between. No such thing as coming second place....or losing!

Not for me though! Thoughts of pain and death was always uppermost in my mind, for the whole of my life!

I just ride for fun and pleasure..and there's lots of that to be had on a motorcycle!

Thanks again for the link, Rich!

Paul....Just braving the Winter now on two wheels, hoping I make it through to the Spring !.... :D ....!

Got a great DVD for Christmas on the history of the Isle of Man TT 1907 to 2015 looking forward to watching that later today. In the meantime enjoy a lap of the circuit with John McGuinness on an Electric Bike, just the thing to shake up the Xmas dinner.
