1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Man, we live in a screwed up universe.

EVERYBODY knows that the universe is expanding at an ever increasing rate.

In fact, five years ago three astronomers at a frat party were given the Nobel Prize in Physics for that discovery.

We'll, maybe they weren't at a frat party drinking it up and chasing women, when they thunked it up. Coulda been, though.

But you get the point, smart guys prove something and get a bunch of money.
Professor Sarkar, who also holds a position at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, said: 'The discovery of the accelerating expansion of the universe won the Nobel Prize, the Gruber Cosmology Prize, and the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics. It led to the widespread acceptance of the idea that the universe is dominated by "dark energy" that behaves like a cosmological constant - this is now the "standard model" of cosmology.

HOLD THE HORSES!

The universe is expanding at an accelerating rate—or is it?

We see what we expect to see, and then prove it to be reality. Everyone then agrees with us.

Perhaps Buddha was correct, the world is an illusion.

Me, I'm ready to go back to the belief that the world is flat and rides on the back of elephants standing on a turtle.

It just sounds better. More entertaining. Not to mention that we should keep an open mind :D

Oldest known planet-forming disk: Citizen scientists and professional astronomers join forces

An artist's conception of this unusual system, a red dwarf star surrounded by the oldest known circumstellar disk -- a primordial ring of gas and dust that orbits around a young star and from which planets can form as the material collides and aggregates

You can read about another one, called Flatland in an 1884 book by Edwin Abbott Abbott. It's all real. It really is.

Have I convinced you yet?
