Hello all,
I have had an idea for a long time that I finally just finished. I wanted to fly a series of flights that began in my home airport (BNA Nashville TN) and ended there but I would go all the way around the world (with a few detours along the way.) I finally did it and I thought I would share it with you all as much as I could.

(I spent quite a lot of time as a child in China so that is why I spent so much time there as you will see. It was more of a going back to my old stomping grounds and why I seem to be going every which way.)

And finally *drum roll* Toronto-Nashville (Bombardier Dash8 Q400)

It was a lot of fun and I have some ideas for the future. If I ever to something like this again it will probably be something like "Head south and then back up around both poles to end up back in Nashville again" type deal.

Anyways, I just thought you guys would be interested in that little project I had. It was loads of fun and I would encourage everyone to try something similar.

I did but I used Concorde with less stops and just a little bit quicker.

did this a few years ago in the Cessna 172, took forever, but it was a good learning curve for FSX

The longest trip I ever did in in the Sim was many years ago, in FS 2004.
A 2,500 mile flight from Chicago to Santa Monica, in my Beech Baron 58, along Route 66, stopping at airfields along the away with screen shots and details of the areas.

Since then, all my flights have just been short hops between various airstrips, in small, GA, piston props.

I haven't got the patience nowadays, for anything longer.....other things to do!.... ...!

If you want some real fun use smaller aircraft which means you have to plan each flight closer because of lack of fuel. It means a lot of stops and jumping from island to island when possible
The only real problem you will run into is the weather. I use a program called Active sky next and it simulates real world weather. Which means you can fly into bad weather if you are not careful,
I got stranded for a few days in some small town in Alaska because of weather conditions were to bad.
trust me it not as easy as it sounds limiting your aircraft to propeller driven aircraft and try flying around the world . I even used my caravan landing on the ocean at a make be-leave airport
But it was a blast . Doing this takes time as it is not the shortest route by no means.
