$10,000 is a start, but is a drop in the ocean compared to the misery and anguish Win 10 has caused users throughout the world. So, a Microsoft exec will have to go without his lunch allowance for a day....boo-hoo! I really hope they get stung big time in a class action; it’ll serve them right

You might have guessed by now that I am not exactly Microsoft’s greatest fan

After being used to using the wonderful "Sinclair Basic" for so many years since 1980, the thing that really impressed me was the introduction of the Microsoft Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Without all the additional stuff included in various Windows upgrades over time, I still appreciate the ease of navigating the Windows GUI system with the Keyboard and Mouse.

In the race for the GUI with Microsoft and Apple in the early PC days, Microsoft took over the lead with most PC builders and folks.

I'm still happily using my Windows 8.1, running in "Classical Shell Mode Display*", following Win 7 and XP!

It does what it says on the Tin!.... ;) ...!

Paul.... :D ...!

Better to take the case to Small Claims Court as proposed to a Class Action. Then, MS will have to send their Legal team to every venue in order to litigate which will cost $$ for every instance. Class Action will draw the case out for so long, that by the time it's settled the original Plaintiffs will probably have expired, which is exactly what MS wants.

In any event... forcing W10 onto their Customers instead of giving them a choice is just another typical 21st Century sleazy Business practice.

POX TO MT. REDMOND (MS), AND THE ENTITLED THAT RESIDE UPON ITS GREASY SLOPES.

I agree, the sleaze factor at Microsoft has increased considerably under the new management. But, Windows is the standard, and complaining endlessly about it is as futile as carping about alternating current or internal combustion engines. Tin foil mad hatters rant about their problems with every upgrade, that's cyclical, but there's never any acknowledgement about how Windows runs, runs well, on so many different computers and with such a mind boggling software library. Windows 10 hasn't been a big issue for me on two home machines or at work with nearly a hundred in my departmental group. With all due respect to Ms. Goldstein and her lawsuit, I doubt she followed any best IT practices like testing or making full-image backups before upgrading.

I would guess that it happened like this (and in 5,000,000 very small businesses across the country):

"You have a new update. Would you like to upgrade now?" [Yes] [Later]

And naturaly, someone clicks Yes just to get rid of it.

Strangely enough.....

Having been running my Windows 8.1 (for years?), I cant remember ever receiving an option to upgrade to Windows 10 appear on my screen!
Maybe its something I've selected in my Admin Rights options/settings to prevent such things from happening...

Paul....I like preventing things from happening!...... ......!
