Re the accident:
The craft was designed as a Tricycle, rather than a Tail Dragger, enabling the pilot a better view over the engine cowling when taxiing, with the ever-danger of a nose-wheel collapse during landing, which was what happened in this case, with very expensive results!
I much prefer Tricycles in my Flight Sim GA Aircraft for better visibility, but as many of my landings are on grass and rough landing strips, I am forever grateful for "invincibility" in my flight settings...
...something you don't get in real life!....
