Interlaken has been one of my favorite places for slow flights for ages !
To improve the scenery looks of this area, I would recommend you to download a freeware landclass that was actually made for FS9, but works beautifully in FSX.
The filename is ebch3tot.zip, it can be found on flightsim.com or avsim.com, but I believe it's not present on simviation.com (at least Google didn't find it :/ )

Yes, a landclass is generally quite a small addon.
It doesn't include any mesh or additional scenery, just terrain type definitions :)
The area around Interlaken and Meiringen (other end of the lake) will be quite beautiful... I'm trying to find one of my old screenshots from FSX to show you...

I would also recommend you two things, to make the Alps beautiful:
1- the 19m mesh available here: http://www.vf-air.com/MeshAlpes.zip
2- the mountain mod described in my signature (Got mountains)
This will make the area look like in my screenshot above, and it will definitely make your flights above Switzerland much more enjoyable !
