Budget VR Headset for FSX

For a cost of about $40 you can build a budget VR headset for FSX.
Here's what you need. The resolution is not a good as a monitor, but it is fun to try.

An Android smartphone 4.7 to 6 inches. The bigger the better. I am using an old 6 inch phone with no service as long as you have WiFi your good.

There are a lot of VR Google Cardboard headsets to choose from. This is the one I bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015K8DM9M?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

TrinusVR app for the phone and PC (free Demo $7 to buy) http://trinusvr.com/

FacetrackNOIR (You do not need the camera) http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm

Okay this is different but I am not sure why you would want to put this on such a small screen. I know there are some pretty big screens out there and I could be wrong but if you can put it on an Android phone why not a Android Tablet with a 10" screen Or bigger.
I have a old Iphone that does not have service but you can not see the WYFI either. But I know very little about Android devices and there are so many versions of Andorid software that it is not funny

While yes it is a small screen, It is a headset you wear giving you head-tracking. So as you fly, where you look as you turn your head is where you see. Unlike just head tracking software and hardware you do not have to look at a monitor because the screen is mounted to you face. Not the quality of a monitor, but a nice change and fun if you're not flying a big boring metal tube.
I now understand why you wouldn't want to try it and you may now know why myself and those that did not know about it would want to try it.

Same here, just ordered the cardboard box thingy so will give it a go. Certainly a lot cheaper than this selection.

Thanks for the link to the Sony VR headset info. It's just the beginning and the full versions will be affordable very soon.

Let me know how you get on with that cardboard box .... :D

If it's in any way good I'll get one of the more comfortable to wear versions 8-)
