That's funny Dave, I get the Dragon Rapide ok. You must have 2 AI DH82's programmed in your AI file or something.

That's odd. I've never noticed this problem.

DH.82 is the Tiger Moth. The Rapide is the DH.89.

Funny you should mention the Dh82 I revisited Duxford with the airshow addon checked and unchecked.

Everything seems to be normal

then this happened with scenery airshow addon checked and unchecked

I watched it for a short period of time and the DH89 started up and moved away.

It would seem I have a parking conflict at certain times, my scenery and traffic settings below

Its not a big problem as they eventually move and thanks for the replies.

As you say, this obviously depends on the time & might also be affected by your traffic density settings. It should be possible to check & correct AI flight plans with AIFP.

One has to be careful when creating AI flight plans. It is so easy to make a mistake. I keep a pad that has all of my AI aircraft on it and the times and places where they are used. Of course I do not have a lot of AI flight plans. As I have stated many time the more AI flight plans one creates the more chances you have of creating a problem. It is so easy to use a aircraft in two places at the same time which of course can not happen. Even with the limited amount of AI plans that I have I have seen a aircraft just disappear at one airport. Then I recheck the flight plans and sure enough it is being used by another flight plan at a different location. I than will either change the aircraft or create a flight from the airport it was at last to the new airport changing the times if needed.
But the biggest problem I have spotted with AI is the number of airports that do not have a hold short spot on the taxi way or it is misplaced.
This will cause two problems. If there is no hold short spot than you will never get the chance to ask permission to take off and AI aircraft will just disappear after a while.
The only way to spot this kind of problem is to check every runway at every airport which needles to say is time consuming. The quickest way is to use AFCAD or Airport Design Editor
Hold Shorts have to be placed close to a runway Usually within a few feet.
So if you find your self at a airport and taxi to the active runway and never get the option to ask to take off You have a hold short problem
ATC will always tell you to taxi to runway X and hold short. This is a actual spot on the taxiway that has been designated as the hold short spot for that runway. If this spot is not there or not place in the correct place you will never get a chance to ask permission to take off. <<v

Thanks again for the replies, the traffic files are the originals installed by the original installers. This seems to be a hot spot for the ai aircraft to park at least on my computer.

It seems to be De Havillands only, in Fsx are the parking spaces in this scenery designated for aircraft manufacturers like in fs9? Got to go got a Corvette to play with.

I doubt the aircraft manufacturer affects anything but there might be other variables that do.
For example; the Tiger Moth & Rapide are the only aircraft on the list used for pleasure flights*.

I opened the Duxford traffic BGL in AIFP to check it out. This is the main screen with the Rapides & Tiger Moths highlighted.
*Note that they are the only aircraft on a 4 hour schedule. All the others are 24 hours.

This is the validation report for the above file. I don't know if this is important.

I haven't messed around with AI traffic for a very long time & forget how to interpret the above information.

I also tried it in FSX at various times of day & couldn't duplicate your problem. My Traffic settings are similar to yours.

Thanks for trying, as its very short periods that they are double parked and only the De Havillands I will live with it thanks again Dave.

I downloaded ai flight planner to check the traffic bgl and it looks identical to yours. I am going to live with the occasional fight over the parking space.

I think that's wise Dave. Apart from this little bug it's an excellent piece of work.
