In his book 'Unfriendly Skies', Captain "X" Dodson avers that the most frequently heard expletive from pilots about to play the great gig in the sky, is "Oh s**t!".
Alas, as those words were the last from Captain Van Zanten. Interestingly enough they were uttered in English, not his native Dutch.
