Online Flight Planner.

Postby BlueSkies » Wed Feb 24, 2016 6:25 am

I usually use PFPX for planning my Jet flights, or Plan G for my low 'n Slow flights.
They're both perfect for my needs.
The other day I came across across a free online flight planner, it's one I haven't seen or heard of before.
After going through the site and options with a fine tooth comb I have to say I'm very impressed indeed.
If you like planning your own flights, you might like this, plus it does a whole lot more.

Thanks for the link. I will have to test it and see if it is as good as it looks.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed Gary.
Once you've planned or picked a suitable flight, you can download the flight plan in various forms to your own requirement.
It will show you the route on a map, along with the weather from your departure airport with all the runways info, plus the same for your planned arrival airport with all approach Navaids Frequency's as well.
I can't fault it.
Be interested to see what you and others think about it ?

I found one big problem with this planner it does noy give you the frequencies of the VOR's and I do no think it uses NDB'S at all But if it does no frequencies for them either.
The routes it generated are great but you have to look up the way points it uses
I think i will stick with my current planner which is ASLINK FREE it even uses sids and stars
To truly fly IFR you need to knoiw the frequencies of the VOR'S and NDB's Even with a FMC you are supposed to enter the frequencies of those way points
