Its in the middle of Winter, and the grass is far too wet to cut! .... (Waiting 'till the Spring!)......!
It’s springtime already here in sunny Gloucestershire (winter never really came to us this year) and I’ve just given my back lawn its first mowing of the season. Quite a lot of cat poo – yuck! Particularly galling as I don’t even have a cat!
My last bike (BMW 12GS) had a screen similar to yours and I have to admit, although it looked a bit silly, it was very good at keeping the bugs off. Well my chest area anyway; helmet still got splattered! Its best feature though was the heated grips and hand shields. What a luxury after years of frozen fingers!
My next bike (pipe dream) will have to have:
Heated Grips.
Handshields.
Large screen to keep bugs off.
A big padded seat for my fat arse!
A huge V twin engine with masses of power.
Big petrol tank with a proper reserve.
Really loud straight-through exhaust.
Self-cleaning chrome!
Oh, and one last thing.....a rabbit deflector! In all my years of biking, I've had more trouble from varmints than all the dumbass cagers put together!
of snow that got dumped on us last week and now they are calling for another 30 cm tonight. -25c here this morning. I guess my bike will have to wait for a while yet.
