Richard, here's another thought...(Dang! that's two in one day.) Anyway...you said you wondered if it was your computer causing the problem. Have you tried installing any other scenery files since you started with the Duxford files? The process of elimination strategy you might say.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

First of all , I have had Duxford up and running 100% in the past and my PC well up to the mark. I have removed any thing to do with FSX from my c drive I cleaned it out and ran many scans etc., I have done a clean reinstall of FSX and FSX acceleration ,every thing running 100%, I installed the following ACG airfields, RAF Coningsby, Marham, cranwell and the twin bases of Bentwaters and woodbridge all working 100%. then I installed Duxford ,same problem the airfield is there ,runways grass and main. ALL the buildings are solid black , also the airliners on the Pan are the updated ones from the 2013 update which should not be so there lays a clue.
I am going to leave this for the time being as I have a lot of reinstalling to do but I will try again latter If I solve the problem (which I will) I will post the solution.
Thank you every body who posted a reply and tried to help solve this abnormally I am truly grateful

I had to max out the sliders to get it to look like that, but the frame rates are still 25 ok.
