Yes Toons you will have to manually create a Modules folder in your main FSX directory. Then place the files specified into that folder. I'm downloading the SIA_777ER_FSX-1.zip file to install so I can take a look at it.

Hey dreamer-toons, my suggestion is to download the "Posky-Boeing-777-300ER-Jet-Airways.zip" file here, just type that into Simviation search box and download. That airplane has the Modules folder included with it, simply drag and drop it into your FSX main folder. You must have Microsoft vcredist_x86.exe installed also, download Visual C++ Redistributable from mirosoft. The dll.xml file tells FSX to load the jb777 fmc when FSX starts. It contains a <Launch.Addon> section that specifies what to load and where to find it.

The <Launch.Addon> section that must be added is as follows:

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>jb777 fmc</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>Modules\jb777_fmc.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>

Many commercial addon installers modify the dll.xml file to add one or more <Launch.Addon> sections.
Make sure you backup the dll.xml before editing it.

dll.xml is in a system folder. You have to enable view of hidden/system folders to see it. (windows explorer tools->folder Options->view "Show hidden files and folders")

If you are running Windows XP, dll.xml is in the following directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\<Your user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

If you are running Vista or Win7, dll.xml is in the following directory:

C:\Users\<Your user name>\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

If dll.xml exists, make a backup copy of it, then add the <Launch.Addon> section above to it (use notepad or similar text editor).

Wish it was easier but this is a complex addon, especially to a new FSX user. If that doesn't work maybe takes Pete's suggestion of downloading a older version that doesn't have the upgraded panel. Don't give up, there are great trouble free airplanes available.

Hi Pete, i downloaded the SIA_777ER_FSX-1.zip and it doesn't seem to have the modules files: jb777_fmc.dll, jb777loader.dll. Thanks for all you do.

Oh boy ..... You're right ..... ....added them (Modules folder and .dll files inside it) and re-uploading that and 2 others now with the dll's added. Thank you so much for finding that sir.

Thanks everyone for the guidance.

Formatted and re-installed Windows 10 as well as FSX:SE and the add-on to start afresh.

Followed the above guide and edited the dll.xml file.

Going to make another attempt on the 777 flight and hopefully all goes well this time round.

A big thanks to all.

Sorry to hear that Toons, I really hope someone can figure this out for you, I am at a loss now. If this is the only airplane causing this problem I would assume it is a problem with that aircraft install. Best of luck and keep us posted. :eusa-think: <<t

Just delete the panel folder and drag in the panel folder from one of the ones I linked to earlier. Life is too short! :|

Restart FSX and you're good to go ......

This error always involve the 777 models. Airbus models are not affected.

This was what I have done so far after all the guidance given in the previous posts. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

1) Downloaded the new Boeing 777-306ER Singapore Airlines package and move the Module folder to the FSX folder as shown below.

Image

2) Replaced the Panel folder from this new Boeing 777-306ER Singapore Airlines package with the 1 given by Pete's link. I just randomly downloaded 1 of the packages from the link and replaced the Boeing 777-306ER Singapore Airlines package's default Panel folder. After the replacement, I saw that it was using the Honeywell FMC. Not sure of the function difference between this Honeywell and the default ones since I don't configure the FMC for flights anyway.

3) Edited the dll.xml file as shown below. Is this the correct highlighted file?

Image

And I added in the highlighted text as advised by Awaken.

Image

Restarted FSX and the error happened again after an hour of flight time. I was in spot view prior to the error and switched to VC to make flight adjustment. Returning to the spot view and this was what it appeared.

Image

The wing got 'discoloured' and this was always the very first sign that the error R6205 is going to happen next. This discoloration can happen at any part of the aircraft. At this point, I was still able to switch to VC.

Switching back to spot yielded this.

Image

I have the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64) installed with Windows 10 Pro.

I have no problem with Airbus 380, 330 and Boeing 787. This error is kind of specific only to the 777s.

Just a wild idea, will the texture of the 777 be the main cause of the error since the texture of the aircraft always change to something above prior to the error?

I hope I can get this straighten out. If I'm doing right as shown above, then I probably just give up troubleshooting; been doing for days.

Thanks in advance.

I've been troubleshooting all sorts of problems with the MS sims for many years. I would tackle this by a process of elimination. To remove the panel from the equation replace it with one that you know has no bugs from another aircraft in your hangar. Let's say the default 737. If you get the same error after one hour you will confirm that the panel is not the cause of the problem.

Formatted and re-installed Windows 10 as well as FSX:SE and the add-on to start afresh

That seems rather drastic as your problem appears to be caused by a specific addon aircraft.
However, from a quick search this seems to be a common problem with FSX-SE itself. It can even happen with no addons installed at all. See this thread --> http://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/0/530646080865978584/

In addition to Doug's comments - you could read this.

I have installed 100's aircraft over the years and have never had this problem -- but interestingly I have never used AI aircraft

All of this could be the fact that everything has to go through Steam's server. But I honestly think the way to go here is to put a known working panel into the aircraft and if the problem does not pop up you now know that there is some kind of problem with the panel. Now I could be wrong here but it is likely that the function call is being kicked back by the Steam Servers as it may think you are trying to hack into it. But like I said I could be out in left field with this idea as I am not sure exactly what the servers are doing when you run steam. I have a few games on steam and have never run across this kind of problem. I was also part of the Beta team for FSXSE and do not recall anyone having this kind of problem at all. Perhaps someone should install this aircraft on there version of FSX and see if this pops up if not than the problem is not the aircraft at all but something to due with STEAM itself. <<u

Now, I'm trying out the other solutions given in the steam community as suggested.
