HELP, for Ford Project

Postby Jean Loup » Wed Jan 13, 2016 2:40 pm

I went to Garry's Forum but it is closed (Hijack issues), so here I am hopping to atract Garry's atention, or maybe someone can guide me. I downloaded 4 Sceneries fron the Ford Project, all excellent by the way: KORS-ORCA (main scenario), FFAC (Ford Factory), FGIB (Gibraltar) & the controversial FDHA or Ford de Havilland Stag Lane: the first 3 sceneries WORK FLAWLESSLY. The problem is I can't get FDHA to show in my FS2004 Aerodromes Menu. I must be doing something wrong but can't find the cause. I installed one by one to avoid problems, followed the recomended order in the list, even fly with a Lao Che Trimotor... :violin: :violin: :violin:

So I am at Gibraltar AF base: it took me a while to figure out that Gibraltar iS NOT PART of the UNiTED KiNGDOM but to search for it in in Country/Region (NOTE: it says Ships but will show aircraft in Runway anyway)

I must say the Rock is much better than the default FS2004 Rock, Tin Goose here at dawn for Take Off

NO STAG LANE

NO FDHA either :snooty:

ALL is included & in recomended order

It works fine for me. Try selecting Any or England in the Country/Region box.

Does the same trick on both FS2004's: Golden Wings & Silver Wings. Funny that I installed the others with no fuss, but this one evades the Menu. I even downloaded the Ai DH-80 aircraft to no avail. :snooty: :violin:

But the Ford de Havilland just wont show, only London Airport are these... :shifty: I choose Country/Region=Any, then State/ Province=Any, and then went City=London and...GUESS WHAT? :o
Image

For some reason (unfathomable it might be) the Aerodrome does not show under its name nor its initials, but searching for LONDON did the trick. I am very very sorry to bother people with my ignorance, did not ocurr to me before making all this fuss  I also apologize to Garry, for his Sceneries work & look real good!! :shifty:

Sorry, you write ENGLAND but my autistic dislexia reads UNiTED KiNGDOM. You also have the advantage of living there... and be english speaking since birth. Poor me had to wet my back into Texas & get a chewing gum to start speaking American English. 8-)

You do very well. Note that this is the only airport listed under England on the selection menu. I find that a rather odd decision by the author of the scenery.

I usually leave "Any"selected in the Country/Region box which is the reason I had no problems in finding FDHA when I tried it. I only noticed the England bit later.

Texas Rangers, INS and Homeland Security request you provide your current address. They wish a meet and greet with you ASAP.

I wish them good luck. Today is my 73rd Solar Orbit, I was 2 years old when WWII was lost. :violin: :violin: :violin: That request, meet, greet & ASAP is 71 years old  Funny that I flew with the NOW DERELiCT Confederated Air Force. But yankee doodle did not like that name! They were renamed as Consolidated Air Force :snooty: :snooty: :snooty: (like if they only had PBY's!!)

SORRY TBUS, did not see this question until today.

NO, I do not Sprechen Sie Deutsch. I am MEXiCAN now, started speaking Français then learned Castillian in Spain & México, finally learned what this forum calls "American" but I refer to as Chewing Gum English. Born in Paris from a belgian mother & a german general father. If you speak castilian spanish (or understand the CONFOUNDED Google Translator cof cof) I invite you to my Blogger los Olvidos de la Memoria - fines de 1944 were I detail my origins, to 18 de Enero, 1948 : BOA DE HiELO - fin del camino a Pamplona were I entered Spain with no papers and to 18 de Enero, 1950 : BOA DE AiRE - extendiendo mis Alas when we were hiding in Spain as a Refugee French Family (no sprechen allowed!!). In México we became asylees instead of refugees, but mother & father divorced (worst battle than WW II) so I swam the Río Bravo (Río Grande for americans from the U.S.A.) to search asylum with my sister & brother in law at Haskell, Texas (1958-1960) & became Wet Back instead of asylee. Back in México, the german embasy made life so difficult for us born in the Third Reich (AND the WORST SiN: not Sprechen Sie Deutsch!!) that I decided to be Mexican. Never aplied for French passport, although my birth certificate is french. Never went back to Europe, not in my dreams!!

Funny: every time I cross a border with no papers, I learn a new language!!

In any conflict, one victorious side vanquishes the other. The White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) that flies babies into this shore was headed for México, BUT all that Flak over Europe startled her and she dropped me into the conflict, with total disregard for sides. Brigantia -in her infinite Wisdom- choose Mórríoghain to guide my Fate & Quest for México. My unknown (& unofficial!) grandfather was Haiduk & his blood prevails (Oye ¿porqué lo HAiDUK? si tu abuela murió soltera..).
