It's not that great, Doug.

But it does give a hint of how well the Orbx system can work.

Lets face it Halifax and Nova Scotia are far from anyone's idea of a scenic flight environment, although it is a pretty nice place to visit.

Try these pictures.

Here's a few shots from the Eye of Quebec, René-Levasseur Island.

If this doesn't make you want to fly, then you're sound asleep.

Here's one in a more traditional size. I've done more than a bit of camping in the mountains and I've seen this pond in a rock hollow before. And I'm sure that you must have flown over many sample like it.

This is simply a shallow where water collects. What makes it special is that this IS NOT a custom area. This is simply openLC.

Is it there in real life? Probably not. But it is very believable.

Looking Good...

Have flown a good many hours in several different aircraft types over the Maritime Provinces and Labrador. Love Newfoundland and Labrador but they all hold their own sense of beauty.

If you want another Livery to add to your DHC-3 Otter Fleet what I did was click on the RCAF Wheel/Ski Otter Livery and Pasted it to a Civilian Otter Amphibian Folder...looks great.

I now have all three RCAF Otter Aircraft in RCAF Livery;
-wheels
-wheel ski
-amphibian

Having nearly three Log Books full of well earned Paychecks, Tall Tales, Experience Gained that I thought I had. the Old Stoneboat Radial Engine DeHavilland of Canada DHC-3 Otter in all her configurations was my Favourite Real Aircraft to Aviate in...bar none...

Wish I could have afforded a real one...unfortunately no one wanted to Buy the Old Girl and the Children...now just settling to be an Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezer...

Have not used my orbx download as have not done any simulated flying yet...perhaps in 2016 will get back to it  ;)

P.S. With CLIMB FLAP AND NOSE SLIGHTLY TRIMMED DOWN the DHC-3 Otter will climb like a HELICOPTER... ;)

Have a Happy New Year and all the Best in 2016.. ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
