I did try v1 of this scenery in fsx and it is placed slightly better but you still can't land on the observation deck like you can in fs9.
V1 shots below

default placement looks lile the round part should be where my helicopter is in shot two below but you can land on it.

Hiya
I have found the download for the Piz Gloria scenery from Avsim (as per the earlier post), installed it and found it in the scenery library, but I can't find it when I fly from Interlaken. I understand from the earlier posts that this will work with FSX, but I'm having no luck. Can someone shed any light on it ?
Many thanks and best regards

Make sure its checked in the scenery library, Take off from LSMI RWY 23 before you get to the lake you will see a valley on your left follow the ridge line on the right or alternatively take off from LSMI enter LOC21 into gps, head towards LOC21 and you should be able to see it on the ridge line.

Hey Dave,

Your shots triggered my "fly in the alps" button :D
Thanks for linking that scenery. That round building on top of a montains reminds me something though.... isn't it visible in some James Bond movie ? Or am I confusing ?

Also, I see these totally white mountains in the background... If you're not using FTX Global, you might want to take a look at my signature, for the mountains :)

Hi Dave
Thanks for the reply. I have found it from your directions but all I get is a grey box with a black circleaning on the top and then a black wedge coming out of one edge.
Definitely doesn't look like the one in your pics. Will try and post a screenshot..
Maybe I have some setting in fsx wrong?

Cheers for your help

All the best

That's the default fsx version you can see it in the righthand corner of the fourth picture, Make sure the scenery is activated in the library in fs9 & fsx in windows 7 you have to click ok and then anywhere underneath in the folder in white area to add to the scenery library. Does it look like the picture above your first post?

Doh..

Worked it out! Due to a graphics card problem I'd done a system restore and it had disappeared from my scenery list although it was still in the add on scenery folder of my drive.

Wow! It is stunning! I reckon the Interlaken to Sion route via Schilithorn may be my new favourite route.

Thanks again for your help.
