Simviation tends to have more FSX users than FS2004 (Way more - FSX files will typically have 4x in a day & 50x the number of downloads over time) - and as Fozzer says, FS2004 has been around a long time so there is little new to be learned.

I have no interest in other forums and I gave my FS2004 away to a mod here many years ago.
FS2004 was/is a great sim -- I loved it.. But moved to FSX when it came out. Never had problems with FSX like some other did. Each to their own.
PS. I did have my old FS2004 installed but lost it due to a HD death. Sometimes I'm tempted to buy a copy on ebay -- and maybe some even older ones now - but I suspect I would't really use them ....
