Suggestions on a new aircraft package?

Postby CaySmith » Mon Nov 16, 2015 11:01 am

Hello. I am Cayden Smith (FlightDesign). I have made the MD-80 Package and the A380 HD Package and I am looking for suggestions on an aircraft. ANY Aircraft will do, as long as it's freeware. If you suggest an aircraft to my liking, I will upload your suggestion with a full package within 48 hours.

EX: you suggest a 747-400 in the morning. If I say that I am interested and I would like to do it for you, within 48 hours, there will be a package (747-400 HD Package) uploaded.

Sounds good? I'm up for the challenge. Hit me with some suggestions (don't actually hit me...)

You get what i'm saying... let the suggestions BEGIN!

Nobody's done a Beechcraft Queen Air that I'm aware of. That would be nice.

For starters...

How about a nice, freeware, Cessna 182RG Skylane (Retractable Gear) aircraft, suitable for FSX, based on the original FS 2000 model.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cessn ... 43&bih=834

That would be very nice!

Only the present, payware, Carenado, Cessna 182RG Skylane model is currently available.

Hi Cayden

Nice packages which you have assembled but it's very important to give credits for the big talent and hours that went into these models. Models with VC's will take 10's and sometimes 100's of hours to create and take months for the base model to come to the point where it is ready for release. Also if you didn't actually create the textures yourself - credits must be given.

The MD-80 and VC was created by Mitsushi Yutaka. A380 is a Project Airbus model.

Just a reminder - but an important one. ;)

I didn't mean making a whole new model, I meant taking someone else's model (ex: POSKY) and of course giving full credit, and putting liveries into it so other's don't have to take the time and skill to do (beginners or people who are lazy), kinda what Chris Evans and Luis Quintero did. You get it? I am NOT meaning stealing a model, just using it and a few liveries to make an easy aircraft to install.

HJG supplies their base model, but you have to put all of the liveries into the aircraft. Kinda tiring, right? that's what I want to do. Put it all into one big, easy package for all them beginners.

Sounds good?

Of course I will give FULL (100%) credit for everything that is put in. EVERYTHING. Just saying so you don't freak out.

no 182 retractable gear models are available for FSX, so it looks like I will have to do the FS2004 model unless you guys want a specific model. I will look around, see if I can find anything for FSX.

Sorry, but I can't find an FS2004 OR FSX Freeware model for the 182RG. Only one I found was the Carenado. Darn.

I gathered from your first post, that as a designer, (Flight Design), you were requesting us to suggest a freeware Aircraft which doesn't already exist for FSX, (for example the Cessna 182RG Skylane), for you to design from scratch?

Is that what you intended to do, as an Flight Sim Aircraft Designer?

Paul - please read his posts.
His 1st post and name is misleading -- however he later says in his posts he isn't a designer but he'll put stuff together that already exists, as a package

Pete.

Your revised post does explain the Original Poster's offer in more detail.... :D ...!

A modification to an existing aircraft, rather than a non-existing, freeware model, made from scratch.

I always get excited when someone offers to make a new freeware model which is not available elsewhere...

...like a freeware Cessna 182RG Skylane!

Its always a shame that MS didn't carry the original, excellent FS 2000 model, over to FSX...!

Carenado seems to have cornered the market on that one, with the Payware-only version!

Hello. Just clearing things up here.

1: FlightDesign is my nickname, it does not mean I am a designer, I just came up with it.

2: I have poor modeling skills. I am not modeling any aircraft here.
