Spikes Grumman TBM Avenger Flight 19 Add-on

Postby zswobbie1 » Thu Nov 12, 2015 6:50 am

There is a new release in the the FS2004 Military files: Spikes Grumman TBM Avenger Flight 19 Add-on.

I see it contains the full MAAM Avenger package as well as the SP1. Is this package now freeware??

I had no idea that MAAM had released any of their payware products as freeware.

It is likely they have released it. I know that the Ready For Pushback B747-400 is now freeware. But I would caution you to make sure of the download site as it could be something you do not want to open.
Have you tried to go to the payware site to see if there is any mention of it being released to freeware? <<u

Nothing on the MAAM site, http://www.maam.org/flightsim/news/tbm_rel_pr.htm, about any of their products being released as freeware..

Also, nothing in MAAM's forum at Avsim either.

Directly from their site..

'If you want or need to know even more before you part with your hard-earned $35, you can see and read it all by downloading a free copy of the html Avenger Software User's Manual. Besides, if you buy the plane and skip the manual, you are going to miss a lot! But enough talk. Go get this bird and enjoy your hot Turkey. You'll be doing yourself and a worthy cause a good turn.'

100% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM SALES OF MAAM-SIM PRODUCTS DIRECTLY SUPPORT THE RESTORATION PROGRAMS OF THE MID-ATLANTIC AIR MUSEUM, READING, PENNSYLVANIA.

So, unless I'm mistaken, the 'Spikes Grumman TBM Avenger Flight 19 Add-on' is piracy at it's very worst?

If there is any moderators reading this......

I have de-listed it.
'Spike' has been uploading various genuinely freeware files which he has modified for many years.

This has probably been an oversight. I seem to remember the only 'maam' product I ever heard about was donationware so he may have made a mistake.
