I am just now finding out how an alarm clock works as I was on call 24/7 for the job that I retired from. It was a telephone  that I dreaded ringing and not an alarm clock. The phone always rang just after I would get into my bed. I would get a call and would have to be at my job in 2 hours. Being the way that I am I did have to repalce a few phones over the years

Keep smiling

Fortunately, my Land-Line Telephone World is extremely small, just comprising of a few family members...

My daily and nightly life is extremely quiet!.... ....!

Even a knock on the door is a very rare occurrence.

I too used to hate Monday. Even Saturday was dreaded as it was too close to Monday, that's why Friday was the best day of the week and Thursday afternoon became a joyful occasion. Why, even the traditional pay-day was Thursday. When I started work for myself, I decided to cancel Monday (due to lack of support) and replace it with another Friday. That way there were only two dodgy days in the week. I actually came to like work because of that. Now I am retired, every day is a Friday, which makes it hard, because I can't remember which Friday we're on. I once got ready for Church on the wrong Friday and found out it was closed, which gave me a great excuse to go to the Pub instead. Problem was I got interviewed by Her Majesty's Cowboys for lingering. They let me go of course when I explained why.
I'm getting ready for my annual migration south right now, but I'm not sure which Friday I'm leaving.
