It sounds like you may have adobe air installed - which means that .air extentions (such as the .air files in your aircraft folder) are associated with adobe.
I have never actually encountered this problem but there are threads on it here
search.php?keywords=%2Badobe+air&terms=all&author=&fid[]=21&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

What file are you talking about? Because you didn't 'download' a file with the .air extention - all files are .zip - then you extract them.

Sounds like you're trying to install these aircraft by double-clicking on the AIR files. This is not necessary & they should be installed manually in the usual way.
See this tute -->http://simviation.com/1/fsxinstall

I don't know any adobe air.. don't understand...

Adobe AIR is a completely separate piece of software that comes bundled with Adobe Reader. Unfortunately this associates itself with & changes the file description of all files with the .air extension - including FS AIR files which are not installer packages.

You DO NOT open that little brown Air File, that's NOT what its there for - do nothing with that file, except put it in with the rest of the other files & folders.

Do NOT attempt to open that little brown looking Air File,,, you don't need to worry about that rascal :D

You're not the first & certainly won't be the last. Blame Adobe.

I believe the problem you are experiencing is due to the manner in which you are trying to load your aircraft. You cannot use the installer package file. You must first unzip the downloads into a new file, then manually insert the files into their proper location. For example, the 737-Max 8...unzip it into a new file. Find the aircraft folder, and click on it...this should take you to the file you need to move. Likewise, move effects files to the main effect file folder, and so on. Usually, there is a detailed "Read Me" file that has all the necessary instructions for you to follow. All it takes is a couple of time, and you'll be a pro at it, like the rest.
