Scud Run

Postby GlobalHobo » Sun Oct 04, 2015 5:00 pm

Scud-running across Ohio in the FSND Cessna 310. It's packaged as a 310Q, but the Qs had a short nose. I think there were a few at the end of the run that had long noses, but most of the long-nose 310s were R models. A really fine piece of freeware, either way!

Nice shots.
This is typically the kind of flights I'm doing these days over OrbX regions. Best way to enjoy a small prop aircraft :)
Takling about the freeware Cessna 310, you might also want to take a look at the 310B and 310R which are available on this page: http://www.robertjamesrichardson.co.uk/page4.html
(scroll down a bit)
These have the short nose you mentioned, if I remember correctly...

Lovely shots!

For me, to get a bit of extra speed out of my General Aviation piston prop singles, I seem to automatically got for Mr and Mrs Beech's luxurious Beech Baron 58 twin!
The default aircraft in most/all of M$ Flight Sims!
(I actually use the much faster Turbocharged version, the speedy Beech Baron 58 TC!)... :D ...!
Very speedy machines in Air Races!
I've also got a couple of Cessna 210 twins ...just for an occasional change!

I've Sim flown the whole of Route 66 a few times, over the years, Chicago to Santa Monica, in my Trusty Beech Baron 58!
...much faster than a Harley Davidson...and less traffic!.... ...!

I have those models, too. Together they make a nice study in the evolution of the 310.
