Sunday 27th September.

Outing to Abergavenny in Wales!

A lovely sunny day (although rather cool in the shade) brought out dozens of Bikers.

A spectacular mix of British, Japanese, and Italian Sportsers, and Harley Davidson Cruisers!

A lovely, enjoyable run in which I videoed the whole return journey back to Hereford!

Arrived back home in time to cook my Sunday Dinner!

Rich... ;) ....

Life without two wheels and a motor in between, isn't worth living!...Trust me... ...!

Biking every day, for the past 65+ years, with all sorts of Magnificent Machines, both Brit and Jap.....I love it!.... ...!

I'm in the market for a nice comfy "Cruiser" now.....The usual sign of increasing age with creaking bones!... ...!

Next on my list to accompany my Honda CB500RR twin, Yamaha RX-S 100, and Yamaha FS1M, will be a nice 1999+ Honda CMX 200C Rebel Cruiser....

...complete with throw-over bags, tassels, pull-back bars, twin spot-lights, leathers, bandanna, shades, etc,....would suit my present image!... :D ...!

...just need to find one, local, now, cash ready!.... ;) ...!

Paul.....Bike it...you'll like it!....Keeps you young at heart!... ...!

This should be sitting on my front garden path!... ;) ....>>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CMX250C

...a Harley Street Glide would be very nice...but too heavy, and far too expensive!.... ..... ...!

Paul

If I could afford it I would love one of these.

Who knows a cheap one for restoration may come up. In the meantime I'll stick to this.

Alrighty Paul...
I made it.Thanks for the link.
I did remember we did have a scooter topic going on here somewhere , but for the few years I have been on Simviations forum and downloading the great things here,I STILL have a tough time navigating around the site. Guess it's a good thing I'm navigating the site and NOT an aicraft,LOL.
I think I mentioned to you in the past, that I had 2 Triumphs. One,a 650cc Bonneville and a 650cc TR6. As far as I know, the TR6 was exactly like the Bonne, engine wise, except the Bonne had 2 carbs and the TR6 had one. The TR6 gave me NO problem I couldnt handle. Both scooters vibrated quite a bit. I was heading west on the Ohio turnpike at about 72 mph and dropped a coil right off the bike due to the vibration. But I tell ya,that bike was bullet proof. I went to Oberlin with some friends one day and we didnt know the road was being rebuilt ( we ignored the detour and went into the construction zone any way). Ahead, was new concrete road, which ended abruptly and dropped about 4-5 feet to the section of older road. I mean, there was concrete, then an immediate drop,as if the road was cut, then the front section dropped 4-5 feet straight down. I had to try the jump, and went for it. It was a rush and a blast. The TR6 took the impact like a high end dirt bike. My friends juat sat there, sure that I would trash my Triumph, but after something like 4 or 5 jumps,I called it a day...and we went on to our original destination. There is a set of railroad tracks by where I used to live. The tracks were at the top of a hill which was about 6 feet higher that the road on either side, and since the hill was built for the tracks, the hill wasn't wide. So,that means it was steep/ EVERY day, heading to work and from work,I'd nail that hill at about 50 mph and soar for what seems to me something like 40 to 50 feet before hitting ground again. While airborne,I'd stand up on the one peddle and on the other side, the brake, full weight, because when I hit,I skidded to a halt with only around 20 feet before skidding into an intersection. Not boasting stupidity nor bravado here in these things...just bragging on the durability of those beloved Triumphs. Back in the day,the Triumphs were the only non-American bikes the 3 piece patch clubs (outlaw types) would consider permitting into the clubs. I miss my Triumphs. Very touchy setting valve clearance on them...( I think the intake valves were 2 thousandths and the exhaust was 4 thousandths ),...but other than that, the beauties were bullet proof and worth every penny.

Have been a bit busy lately hope to take the bike out sometime in the near future while I still have it as a lot of bikes have been nicked over the past couple of weeks in our area mostly older sports bikes.

June the 21st, 1966.

A date I will never forget.

It was the morning that I looked out of my Bedroom window onto my front garden path, to see all that was left of my beautiful, 1992, £7,000, Black and red, Honda CBR 600 FM Supersport, was a shadow on the ground, just to remind me that it was there the day before!

Locked, Chained, and Alarmed, and carried off by a pair of professional toe-rags, in broad daylight, on a Council Estate!

Never to be seen again!
...and it was going to last me for the rest of my life!

I replaced it with my present 1996 Tasman Green, Honda CB 500RR Twin, (the nice Japanese constructed model; later inferior models were assembled in Italy).
A beautiful bike, but getting a bit heavy for me to manage now (old-age), and "Insurance" insists that it is parked inside my house now for security, making it difficult for lil' old me to hump around!.

Now I need a nice, comfy, manageable, feet firmly planted, Honda CMX 250C Rebel Cruiser.
Everyone loves them to bits, especially over in the 'States.
Lots if 125's around over here, but very few 250's to be found....still searching...before I die!
They are all too far away for me to travel...no car or van for transport!
At the moment my 1983 (registered new in 1993), Yamaha RX-S 100, 98cc 2-stroke bundle-of-joy struggles against hills and head-winds, to transport me all around the neighbouring Counties of Herefordshire...(bless her)...with a big grin on my face!

...but I desperately need my Honda Rebel Cruiser, before the dreaded Winter bogs me down again!
Fast enough, (75 MPH on a good day) for leisurely 50-60 MPH, cruisin' around the countryside!
Lusting for a new "Bike" beats lusting for a new "Female", any day of the week....trust me!... ;) ... ...!!
(Bikes always sound nicer than Females...and they don't argue, or want new furniture)... ...!

I had a FAB ride to Abergavenny last Sunday Morning (4th Oct) and back with the bikers. Foggy start, then sun, but really cold. (video'd the complete trip on my (Go-Pro) Chest Cam)!
I was aching with the cold when I got back home...but made up for it with a FAB, Fozz-cooked Sunday dinner..and a few? glasses of Vino!... ...!

Just been shopping...(on my baby Yamaha), Monday dins...MASSIVE Beef Casserole...with EVERYTHING!....JOY!

Paul....Life is good with a full Tummy!.... ...!
