A true story.

When I was a very little boy, I watched King Kong.

This was in the '50, and even as a little kid I thought that the airplanes looked a little old.

Anyway.

When King Kong was shot off the Empire State Building and his body lay in the streets, my first thought was.....

"I bet he'd make a lot of fur coats!"

Guess I never was PETA material. :D

Of course I'm older now, and wouldn't have such childish thoughts.

Nowadays I wonder "What happened to all the bullets that missed King Kong?" :o

Pandering US politicians propose a national LGBT Dogging Park.

Lawmakers: Make Stonewall Inn a National Park

Hopefully this isn't offensive to our British friends.

Here's a BTW. I give this notice so that no one will be surprised when they see it.

BTW - this is the "Stonewall Inn".

Image

Naturally it's not a real park, but that doesn't stop politicians from pandering.

As to the "Dogging", that refers to it's reputation in the late '60s, early '70s.

I have no clue about past 40-45 years, I left Long Island, New York back in the late '70s.

This is what a national park used to look like.

Image

But things change. Who am I to suggest that the Stonewall Inn isn't a national park.

This may sound related to the posts above, but it isn't really.

Let me start out by saying that I am not anti-gay.

In fact, I wish that all men were gay. Except me.

This is about all of those attorneys getting what they wished for, more clients. And finding out that getting what you want can have a down side.

So with my greatest sympathy I post this news article.

Attorneys Struggling to Keep Up with Rising Gay Divorce Rates

Image

"“Burnout among attorneys is a real concern here,” Hamden added."

Now remember - gay marriage is pretty new here in the US, so there shouldn't be a lot of divorces going on.

With a few exceptions, most gay people that I know aren't stupid. I'll simply chalk this "we got a right to get married" thing up to youthful idealism.

It's the idealism part that can be stupid, as usual. Just because you CAN do something doesn't make it a good idea.

The best use of marriage is to keep two people together long enough for the babies to grow up so the woman isn't overburdened.

I think that what many heterosexuals resent about gays is jut that - they're gay, happy.

Now they're married and will soon have lawyers. Before they know it, they'll be divorced and much less happy.

Still gay, but not happy. Welcome to married life.

OAM said..."I think that what many heterosexuals resent about gays is jut that - they're gay, happy."

Actually I think what most heterosexuals, including myself, resent is that a small minority group is trying to force the rest of us to accept their lifestyle as a normal lifestyle and now we have a bunch of liberal "Politically Correct Police" telling everyone how they're supposed to think and act in regards to the "gay" lifestyle.
Sorry, but I ain't buying it. If I don't like something or someone that's my choice.
That being said would I refuse to hire someone for a position based on his or her sexual orientation? No, if they are the top qualified candidate I would hire them. Why? I don't give a cr*p what else that person does, thinks or says off the job. They are being paid to do the job I hire them for and nothing more and it's none of my business what they do off the job. But whatever you're doing or believe in or whatever cause you support -- Leave it at the door on your way in.

..... .... ...!

All this "Dogging Stuff" made the news on the next county to me, Gloucestershire, a few years ago, and came as a great surprise to we "ordinary folks"!... ...!

Being "unclothed", out in the open countryside, in inclement weather, is something that does not immediately float my boat!.... :o ....!

"Sexual experiences", for me, are a blast from the far distant past...Thank goodness!..... ....

YOU!

Wipe that sanctimonious self-satisfied smile off your face.

This is a serious matter.

Although it does seem to fit the post title, Stupid people, news, etc., perfectly.

This tops the cake:

"Russia has also experienced its share of accidents: two men in the Urals were killed while taking a selfie of themselves holding a hand grenade with the pin pulled out (the photo survived as proof...."

Selfies have killed more people than sharks this year, reports show

My patent

The link below has started my mind moving;

Massive patent troll suit seeks to tax USB hubs at Wal-Mart, Amazon, Best Buy

"Minero is asking for unspecified damages and an injunction that would shut down sales of the dozens of different product lines named in the complaint."

This type of stuff used to be called extortion, but I guess that it's legal now.

Anyway.

I've invented a method of tying things together.

It can be done with either organic or in-organic material. Electrons, photons, gravity waves, tractor beams, or anything that science discovers can be used. Psychic waves will also be covered by my patent.

My patent will cover everything from (but not limited to) arts & entertainment to theoretical physics.

It is fully scalable and covers anything, or things, that can be connected in any way known to man or aliens, from the dawn of the universe and far into the future.

There will be no exemption for children's play.

My patent will also cover alternate universes.

BEHOLD MY PATENT!

Patent trolls are encouraged to contact me if the have enough money.

Do you mean the guy who disemboweled his girlfriend? Nothing that happens here surprises me anymore.

First of, I don't care what colour a person is, what invisible friend they follow or sexual orientation, I take a person on face value and word, I refuse to look up to people and I refuse to look down on people, I look you directly in the eyes. BS me and you are off my Christmas card list. The older I get, the simpler I like life. When I was in the Air Force, being gay was a court marshal offence, just as drug abuse was and alcohol abuse could be. To my knowledge I worked with two guys in my time who were gay. I also worked with one guy who was a druggy. When I found out I shopped him in a heart beat. I did not even think about it. The gay guys, one was and still is a good mate. Why did I not shop them too............Simple, a gay person is not likely to put my life in danger when working in the dangerous environment of a hangar or do something deadly or stupid during an engine run. The guy who is high could kill due to his state. As for what Hawk says, I fully confer, what you do in your bedroom is none of my business. As long as you don't bring it to your place of employment and force it on others then I am a happy employer, cross that line and there will be problems. And this goes for politics, religion, animal rights, being gay, or any other subject that could case division that is not work related, I don't care. I employ people to work on aircraft not spout their beliefs on my time. Even here, we have very strict rules that are enforced, no political discussions and no religion. My work place it the same.
