The thing that I miss the most is the centre stand which makes working on the bike a lot easier, did the fork seals a few days before picture was taken had to suspend bike from garage roof with ratchet straps to remove forks it turned into a four coffee job mark time by the number of cups of coffee drunk or beer if its gone down the pan a bit like the spanner system in Haynes manuals.

That is the proverbial problem with Cruisers....

...prop-stand only.....no centre stand!

Every Cruiser owner definitely needs hydraulic or scissors Jack to work on the bike!

My little Yamaha baby has the best of all Worlds...prop-stand, centre-stand, and kick-starter*!

The weather that we are experiencing at the moment here in England makes me wish (and pray) that I was in Arizona on Route 66, heading for Barstow via Flagstaff whilst sat on/in the comfy seat of a Harley Davidson Street Glide, basking in brilliant sunshine, with a clear blue sky above me, and surrounded by the most amazing scenery of desert and mountains!

Instead, I am sat here in my living room watching the rain pi... pouring down, as yet again I have had to abandon another Sunday Bike ride-out with my mates.... ...!

...and that's what English weather is like, for most of the year...when its not snowing...
....for all those not fortunate enough to live in sunny Arizona!

Tomorrow's Bank Holiday Monday is forecast to be yet another wash-out....as usual!

So much for Global Warming.....(I think that Arizona has it all!)... ...!

I do remember way back in 1977 or so, Taking the family on a trip to The Grand Canyon and afterwards to Disneyland via a few well known land marks. Route 66 between Flagstaff and Barstow, being the route. I well remember it as the place where I sprung a heater hose leak on my barge - a Chrysler 400cu V8 (Towing a 17ft trailer). I had to keep the speed at 60mph to keep the engine cool with the A/C off and the heater on, it was 120 in the shade up there. They called it the High desert, I called it B - hot. There was one oasis type rest stop, albeit with no water, so I pressed on, only to have this jerk of a rig pull in front of me and take all my cool air away. There was only one thing to do, that was to pass him at 70 and hope for the best. The last thing I saw in my rear view was this crazy dude rig car and trailer careering off the highway into the scrub desert on the side swaying and bouncing like a toy balloon. I daren't slow down and eventually got to this tiny service station near Barstow where we jimmy rigged a repair with copper pipe and screw clips. I'll never forget the incredulous look on the garage guys face when I asked him if there was a Chrysler dealer close by.

Mondays a washout glad the Bmws good in the wet not as twitchy as some of my previous sports bikes. Traction control and abs helps although traction control is usually turned off the last time I rode it in the wet it threw it down and the road had a river running down it but as I had put on all the gear I went out anyway and had some fun.

Drenching rain and no chance of a Bike ride out with the Lads, so I've just popped into Sainsbury's to get a bottle of South African Pinotage red wine to drown my sorrows, in between firing up FSX and my trusty Cessna 150, and taking a tour around Bryce Canyon, Utah....>>>

Either way, I can get canned out of my tiny brain on Vino, without getting a; "DUI" charge from the FAA, or the Utah Highway Patrol.... ...!

I never cease to be amazed at the wonderful bike-riding scenery of the South-Western USA.

The sort of glorious Motorbike riding and Sim-flying conditions we NEVER get in England!... ...!

How I envy some of you USA Blokes!

I think that you may hate me for saying this Fozzer but I have not gone out on my bile for a week because it has been to hot here. I wont go out without my gear on since my last spill on a corner with cold tires a few years ago. Lucky for me that day my wife insisted that I wear my jacket and gloves as I had only gone a block when turning a slow 90 deg corner both tires let loose and I went down and slid across the road To my supprise when I got the bike off of me and stood it up there was the police asking me if I was ok. Figures that one would be around when that happens, no problems though as he drives a bike and knew what caused the drop. An expensive $1500 lesson and one that should have never happened as I know better. Got rid of that bike and got a bigger one

Canada is only a short Bike ride from the North Pole!.... ...!

I even avoid Flight Simming in Canada, because of all the Snow!

Paul, Hereford, the home of bulls@#$. I must say the beef that comes outta there is the best. Hereford rain is the cleanest rain you ever tasted. There's one thing you can say about rain is that you don't have to shovel it.

O, forgot the punch line again. This guy walked into a pub in Hereford and sat drinking his pint. The landlord, seeing he was alone, wanting to make conversation, commented "Looks like rain." The man replied "Yes, tastes like it too." ta dah.

No snow here yet, it was 40c with the humidity factor so I stay in the air conditioning. I'm such a candy ass any more. I prefer the -40&-50 to the heat.

Just got back from Brandon about 3 weeks ago, was out there looking after my grand children while my daughter and her husband had a vacation, Had great weather while I was out there. It was warm but not humid like it is here in Ontario.
