My very first uploaded screenshot

Postby BlueSkies » Wed Aug 12, 2015 6:43 am

This is my very first attempt at uploading a screenshot on Simviation.

I've managed to get the link to it working.
How can I get it to just show the picture instead ?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Nice shot :-)

Try uploading it to simviation.

Just below the Simviation logo at the top of the page there is a button labelled "Upload Images". Once uploaded it will give you a link to copy and paste into your post.

Pics have to be below a certain size........all explained when you click the button.

Thank's very much for your prompt reply.
Strange, but that's exactly what I done !
I clicked on the Upload Images button, browsed to my picture, uploaded it.
I got the message that it was successful, so I then just copied the link Image to my Simviation post that I was making.
I'm getting the impression this isn't quite correct in some way, otherwise it would show the my picture, not the link ?? :?

Did you copy and paste the bracketed parts at the beginning and end of the link?

Did you "high-light" the whole link with the mouse....(including the [img] brackets)...

..."Copy" it....with the mouse...

Then "Paste" it into your Post...with the mouse?

Copy and paste the bit I've highlighted, including the bracketed bits:

And a very nice shot it is, indeed! Love the shadows of those puffballs hanging over that brownish-green thingy. :D

Thanks very much for all your help guys.
I'll give it another try with a couple of other screenshots I've made and see if I can get it right next time.

Here's a fairly easy way to learn how to do something that you see and like, such as:

A YouTube video,

or A text link, etc.

Move your cursor/mouse over the post that interests you.

In the upper right corner you'll see this:

When you click on the Quote you'll see how it's done. Like this:

Many thanks for that OldAirmail.

I've mastered how to post screenshots now.
Long story short -- I didn't copy all of the link properly.
My excuse -- Eye sight getting worse with age !!! :D
