Just wondering if there is a way to find the all time most popular downloads on Simviation, or if there is not a way, which download is the most downloaded?

In the header of the downloads, next to the file size the number of downloads is listed. So I guess you have to check that and compare as you search. I don't recall seeing an actual list.

Hi -- It's a good point. I seem to remember requesting such an option when the current site was created (simviation is a custom built site)

I think we tried it but it seemed to take a long time to compute -- I reckon I can look into getting it done again (coding moves on all the time) -- It's something I have been interested in too.

As a rough guess I would imagine one of the classic military jets -- but who knows

Stay tuned for updates O0

Very disappointed, most people prefer big huge commercial jets. Me, I prefer classics (one, two or three engines at the most), biplanes, amphibians, radials, taildraggers, light aircraft, ultralight aircraft (all mostly fixed wing with Autogyros as an exception) and grass strips or small aerodromes. I like flying low & slow..
(in FS9 or in real life: I also skydive but prefer flying in a fixed wing) <<q <<t

I feel lonely & un-loved too, Jean.

But I'm willing to bet that I fly the small stuff more than the big tubers' fly their planes.

Sure the thrill of taking off & landing a large aircraft is great, but once you're up there, then what?

How long did it take you to get to 35,000 feet?

Not that there's anything wrong with flying the high flying tubes, some of my best friends like to fly them. :liar:

Hello OAM, I am like you . I fly just about anything but my daily flights are in light singles and twins. For long trips I will take a private Jet like the Eclipse 500, Embraer 100 and 300 and of course the LearJet 45. I enjoy setting up the trip and flying a coupled autopilot to destination. Then I fly an ILS approach to land.
For sight-seeing flights I will use a Cessna single for the great visibility while down low in valleys or over rivers etc.
The only time I fly an Airliner is for a specific reason such as replicating a real-world crash or to re-fly on FSX an airline flight that I have taken.
Like you say, fly what makes you happy and enjoy the hell out of it!

I've yet to fly an actual passenger aircraft, in either ACOF or FSX. I find them to be the equivalent of flying a large city bus: interesting, but dreary when you get right down to it. I much prefer my twins; I feel much more in tune with the aircraft than I do when all I have to occupy my time is pushing buttons.

Myself about the only aircraft that I do not fly are Helicopters and Tail draggers in that order. I just never got used to not being able to see the taxiway/runway untill the tail wheel gets off the ground. As for helicopters even with rudder peddles I have never mastered them I can fly short and I mean really short distances and that is abou it.
One of my best challenges was when I joined a group that was flying around the world usimg some of the strangest aircraft that you can imagine some of them were barley air worthy and it was a struggle keeping them airborn It was a Race around the world put on by some of the virtual airlines but it was truly a blast. <<s
