cessena 152

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

cessena 152

Postby rmb823 » Tue Jul 07, 2015 3:14 am

I'm looking for a cessena 152 in FSX, I found a lot of repaints, but can't seem to locate the flyable aircraft. The cessena 152 is the aircraft I soloed in back in the 70's

Thanks

Did you try searching?

In the search page you can select the category

Here are the results for cessna 152 under fsx props

My favourite aircraft!

Lots of Cessna 150's and 152's around!

Many freeware FS 2002 and FS 2004 models also work in FSX!

Have a peek around, and give them a try!

One of my Favourites...>>> http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... &filename=

"This is Rancho JEN's Cessna 150 Updated for Flight Simulator X. Aircraft updated to Cessna 152 Aerobat specs. Textures by Mark Rooks of RDG Aircraft. Package includes a new 2D and VC using default gauges."

Every new Flight Simmer should practice on one of these first!

I prefer the C150RG
Even when I was training to be a pilot I always preferred retractable landing gear. I know that is a little strange for a STOL aircraft (SHORT TAKEOFFS & LANDINGS) Just one thing less to worry about going wrong. But fixed gear limits your speed.
I often wonder why Cessna came out with this variation. I know they no longer make it but do not know the reason as to why they stopped making them. You still see a few around I saw some watching the Amazing Race.
Kind of like the old tried and true C130's I do not think these aircraft will ever disappear. There used to be a fleet of these at KDAB Daytona Beach Airport
I do not know if they are still there.

Blimey!...You have intrigued me now, Garry!

We occasionally get a Cessna 150, modified as a "Tail-dragger", at our local airfield, but I have yet to spot a Retractable Gear Cessna 150, (like the very speedy Cessna 182RG, or the Cessna 337RG)..... :o ...!

That, I would like to see... :D ...!

Goodly morning all... <<r

Never seen a RG-C150/152/172 anywhere.
Have seen several C150/152 aircraft configured as tail draggers or on floats or skis like the C172.

Now...I have searched the above Links and can not find a Cessna 150.

The C150 is a two seat aircraft and came with a rear window or without the rear window in the earlier models.
The aircraft had a Pull Start and Manuel Flaps.
Usually equipped with 1 VOR and 1 ADF.

The wheel pants were usually removed.

I am unable to find the C150 but the Internet mentions a Payware C150.

Can anyone supply a Link to the 2 seat C150 and not the C152 :?:

The seat in the earlier C150s was usually a bench seat...not two (2) separate seats... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I found a freeware C150 for FSX. Click on the "Aircraft FSX/P3D" link here --> http://frenchvfr.free.fr/download.php?lng=en

Select it from the drop-down list. This will take you to the download page. Please read the download instructions carefully. You will need an account name & password for security reasons but these are provided.

There are quite a few pretty little freeware Cessna 150's available.

Most of my FS 2002 and FS 2004 models work just fine in my FSX!

The Virtual Cockpits probably wont work....but I'm quite happy with the 2D cockpits, especially in conjunction with my "FS Panel Studio"!

The '150's (and '152's) are very nicely balanced aircraft. (The Cessna 172's are slightly nose-heavy).

The perfect little Trainer aircraft for budding pilots!

Paul....I love 'em to bits!..... ...!

Thanks Doug for the Download Link...

Got it downloaded and it works fine...believe there are 4 liveries...

When I select the model/livery I want the picture does not show the model with wheel pants but just wheels.

When I start the simulated flight all the liveries seem to have wheel pants :?: ...not a real big problem...seems like a fun model to play with... ;)

Interesting. Kind of few empty canvases to paint there as well. Since I have a Wacom tablet with me, I like to see what I can come up with now that my drawing skills have been developing over the years since I was away.

Katahu,

If you decide to tackle repainting some of the 152's, may I request a couple of simple ones for the RanchoJEN version, for FS9? This is an especially popular Model, both in FS9 and FSX (fozzer). The Fravin version mentioned above is also very popular.

Thanks!
