FTX: Trees HD Released

Postby OldAirmail » Wed Apr 15, 2015 11:14 pm

Like the title says - FTX: Trees HD have been released - USD$17.63.

High flying jet jocks need not apply (unless you just want the best trees around :D ).

This is a product that will be a great interest to those low & slow flyers, and a couple of shots can show that.

And the new trees.

And a couple of close ups too.

Winter trees too.

This is one of those subliminal things. After a while you'll forget about having it. However, you'll be all the happier for having it. :D

You're getting different types of trees for the whole world. And it's for a relatively small amount of money.

The closest thing that I can compare it too is Orbx Vector. You don't need Vector, but you feel more satisfied for having it.

I agree OAM.Got them the other day.they make a big difference.
I was let down by the Aussie gum trees though.Too dark.Strange as
ORBX is an OZ company.I live here although I am not Australian and
am surrounded by gum trees so I know what colour they are.Otherwise they are great.

The promised increased performance is real.My sim even loads quicker.

Regards.

During my daily flights of Southern California, I never seem to get a sufficient number of Palm Trees showing, (as appearing in photographs)!

I set most of my flights to occur in the Autumn/Fall to show the colourful, "golden" foliage.... :D ...!

I seem to have forgotten how we reduce the density of trees/vegetation shown in typical "desert" scenery, without affecting any other Autogen objects?
I think its a setting in the; "Scenery" file...(tree density?).

Paul...I need more Palm Trees...and dates!.... ...!

The FTX trees HD are a natural fit for Paul & Doug (FlyingTrucker) and anyone you likes to enjoy the scenery.

Anthin, is the difference too much to correct with your video card setting?

Not knowing just what an Australian gum tree would look like I searched Google. The pictures seem to cover the gambit from a dusty-pale green, to olive drab, to a bright rich green.

If you'd be so kind as to pay my way to Australia via cruse ship perhaps I could better understand what you mean. :D

P.S. - I'll leave all the cats behind.

Hi OAM.

Have been trying lightening the picture but I find that they
are still too dark. The trees around here are a pale dusty washed
out grey green.I am not very fond of Eucalypts.

Sorry I can't pay your fare at the moment.Very considerate of you
to offer leaving the cats behind

I wasn't going to leave them entirely behind. I was going to drop 40 or 50 off at a certain address in the UK. :D
