Wonderful, Matt....

.....just my cup of Cocoa.... ...!

...a quick blast on my Mobility Scooter before a bed-time cuddle with Matron.... ...!

It just goes to show that 2-Stroke engines are far from dead*!

Paul...with a fearsome Yamaha 2-Stroke motorcycle!... ...!

How about a Mobility Scooter fitted with a Pratt and Whitney Double Wasp motor?..... ;) ...... ....!

* New road going 2-Stroke motorcycles, etc, are now banned in Great Britain due to exhaust emissions....SMOKE!.... :D ...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Now that would be something I would pay to see.......

As for 2 strokes, does that include twist and go mopeds. Here in Germany, land of being green, it seems that I am the only one without one. They are as cheap as chips. I could by a nice one for about €600 if the desire so took me....and still smell like you are stuck behind a Fizzy wheezing up a hill on a hot day.........

Yep.Matt...

No more NEW 2-stroke Motorcycles and Scooter, in GB now.
All engines have to be 4-stroke engines, often fitted with Cat exhaust systems.....EEC Emission Rules!

http://transportpolicy.net/index.php?ti ... _Emissions

My Yammy 2-stroke was made in 1983, and I purchased it newly registered in 1993...a classic, so OK regarding emissions!

When it comes to smoke trails I can compete with the Red Arrows... ....!
...the hole in the ozone layer is directly above me!

Paul...smokin'.... :D ...!

Nostalgia!...The famous Yamaha "Fizzy"...FS1E...>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_FS1
(One of my spare bikes is a 1975 FS1M...fitted with footrests instead of pedals).

Brilliant Paul........Although the I have to confess, I spent more time trying to start my dam Fizzy than riding it......Once I hit 17 I dumped it and got a Honda 125 twin........I was cruising...... :D

2-Strokes are/were amazing little creatures!

Size for size, twice the BHP/power of the equivalent size 4-strokes!
They fire at each revolution of the engine compared to the 4th stoke on a 4-stroke engine...so lots of bangs!

http://www.animatedengines.com/twostroke.html

Apart from the exhaust emissions, its a crying shame that 2-strokes are no longer produced for most of the World markets now.

My shiny, chromium-plated little baby always draws a crowd every time I park her up..."I used to have one of those/ I passed my bike test on one of those!" is a common excited remark!.... ...!

My spotless 1996 Honda CB500RR, 125 MPH, 4-stroke Twin doesn't draw quite the same sort of attention when parked up.... ...!

2-stroke motorcycles are a reminder of our frivolous youth, long ago, when our brains were filled with motorbikes and readily available sexy; "skirt".... :D ...!
..shame it doesn't happen now!... :( ...!

Good-old days..well worth remembering!.... ...!

Paul....peering out of clouds of oily smoke...with a big grin!.... ..!
