Bowerman question

Postby davido53 » Wed Mar 18, 2015 3:59 pm

I recently tried the PNW demo by ORBX and took off from the included Bowerman airport, which is quite remarkable.

My question is: the wave action...I have never seen this before...is this by ORBX or is this by FSX:SE?

I don't remember "waves" moving in FSX, no matter how hard I try,

You have FSX & I have P3d. And we both have Orbx Global.

So maybe it's ORBX/FTX???

In Prepar3d V2 there is an imitation wave motion that will give the impression of moving water.

It also gives a fairly good impression of bobbing. This is more apparent from within the cabin than from the outside.

However it's easier to show it from the outside. More "dramatic" if you wish.

My bet is that sometime this year, Prepar3d or Orbx, will come out with a good water texture/motion. Probably at $29.99. :D

I probably should have tried this first, but I left Bowerman and went to Gibraltar...the water was the same, I've never seen FSX like this before, there was a very good representation of moving waves. I just wonder if the people at FSX:SE changed it somehow. It looks great!
