all jets are turning left for no reason

Postby bombardier » Sun Mar 01, 2015 4:25 pm

hello to all:

at any airport all my jets my 737s through 380s the jet turns by itself and in the air it tilts to the left I need to put hard right rudder to keep it straight and landing is just as tough.

back on the ground, the nose wheel is cocked to the left all the time. when the jet is at a stand still you can see its cocked just enough that it looks like its lined up with the center of the jet. just as soon I move the jet its cocked to the left. and forget about takeing off it looks like a drunk pilot is flying the jet.

in the air, the jets are tipping its left wing makeing it tough to fly with the control stick all the way to the right to make it fly straight.

I think there are 2 different problems what I can see. any ideas or solutions?.

once agian this is affecting all my jets 737s and 777s and 380s

btw: thanks in advance

If you are using a Joystick or Yoke....

..re-calibrate it....
Settings...Control panel...Devices and Printers...Game Controllers....Settings...Properties...

It will tell you if it is faulty..or not...

My Joystick needs re-calibrating sometimes...(according to my Practice Nurse)...!

hello fozzer its been a long time I heard from you:

thanks for the reply . heres the thing on my control stick, I got a page that has all these tests to check to see if the control stick is operating ok what I came up I have 5 or 6 tests it does, heres the results: throttle is good; buttons to set assignment to is good; directional arrows are good, up down left right and so on; well my y and x axies were in bad shape you see there is a box with a red "x" suppose to be in the middle meaning the nose wheel willt travel straight. but my red "x" in the box is on the left side of the box so the nose wheel will always point to the left no matter what you will do try to fix it. so I have a backup control stick and plug it in and ran the same tests and came out fine. tried a jet an a380 and the nose gear went straight when it needs to and turn when it needs to and return to the center position with no problem .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

now for the test flying a jet I have no idea, but with the new controler the jet should fly straight. I think the old controler just worn out. this should fix the jet flying to the left all the time.

Joysticks do wear out and usually on one axis or the other. Good investment in getting a new one.

I've noticed that sometimes I have a left banking problem whereby all aircraft will not stay leveled. If I restart the computer however, all aircraft will then fly level without any stick input, that is, if I let go of the stick, they stay level. Usually also all fly level if FS is the 1st program I open up. I tried calibrating once when I 1st noticed this, but it said it was calibrated OK.

But sounds like this might not work for you, but can't hurt to try. Just don't start up any other programs after you restart, go right into FS.

The problem you describe here could be a driver issue. If you joystick plugs into a USB port try putting it in a different port this will reinstall the driver.
You can also try running DXDIAG after you start having a problem and see what it says.

Hi,

If you have a registered version of FSUIPC then look at the raw data from the joystick to see if you can diagnose the problem that way or if you have had Logitech joysticks in the past you may have had their utility for looking at and altering joystick function.

Turning left............have you removed the airstairs before take off, they tend to cause a little bit of drag and a pull to the left too....

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
