Works a treat, Garry!

Just re-installed all my freeware and payware goodies back into my FS 2004 on my HDD, to make the experience even more enjoyable...>>>

Ultimate terrain USA. (FS 2004)
FS Global SE. (FS 2004).
VOZ 1.8. (FS2004)
Instant Scenery 3. (FS 2004 and FSX)
FS Navigator. (FS 2004).
Plan-G. (FS 2004 and FSX).
..and all my various freeware Scenery goodies...

It all works a treat!.... ...!

FS Navigator* was worth its weight in gold to identify all the Blackhawk Project airfields and bases!
(Plan-G will do a similar job...but not as good as FS Nav!).

The Blackhawk project makes a pleasant alternative to the "usual FS 2004".... :D ...!

When searching for the various Blackhawk bases in the Sim, this list may come in handy...>>>

BLHE
XBEL
BLHI
BLHW
BLHR
BLHJ
BLHX

The various Maps of the islands can be seen on the Blackhawk Project site for reference!

Have fun in Hawaii!

Paul.....FS 2004 and FSX!.... ...!

* For "FS Navigator FS 2004" enthusiasts: "FS Tramp" is the direct equivalent for FSX...by the same author!... ;) ...!

Glad that your reinstallation of FS2004 and support tools was successful and that your enjoying the project Mate,

Thanks for publishing the list of airfields - which of course is in the BLACKHAWK-README.TXT file - but even I rarely read the readme files

A little more detail on the AFCAD's that exist in the project:

BLHI - Blackhawk Island - multiple runways.
BLHK - Blackhawk Mountain - one runway inside a mountain
BLHE - Blackhawk Emergency Strip
BLHR - Blackhawk Rocket Base
BLHS - Blackhawk Sea Base - flyable water runway
BLHJ - Blackhawk Secret Jet Base
BLHW - Blackhawk Water base - Full of AI traffic
BLHX - Blackhawk FORD Island Revised and ENHANCED
XBEL - Blackhawk Bellows Airfield Revised and ENHANCED
SUPPORT AFCAD's
MOUNT - Elevated Mountain Caldron on LANAI island
DECK - Deck runways for two Carriers at Ford Island - this one has small runways and start points for the two empty deck carriers at Ford Island - (BLHX)

Regards and happy simming

First, I installed the Blackhawk Project into my FSX, (as I do!), and it works fine, except that many of the scenery objects are missing their textures (they are all black), even though the Texture files are included with the Scenery files in the main Add-on Scenery Folder.

I suspect that certain extra texture files may require installing in the main FSX Texture library?

Including the Blackhawk Project into the enhanced scenery of FSX, with its moving traffic, is worth a try....
..if it doesn't work for you, it can always be "un-ticked" in the FSX Add-on Scenery list!.... :D ...!

So...I've got it running in both my FS 2004 AND my FSX!

Twice the joy!.... ...!

Paul.... ...!

I find that popping FS 2004 scenery and objects into FSX is always worth a try...most of it works!

Hi Mate,

Not too sure about migrating to FSX and moving the Texture files to the main texture directory - couple of hundred texture files and some of them may be generic and mess up other models :-)

I also tried the "dump" to FSX and found many other problems with elevation and positioning of the airfield AFCAD's - in my FSX version all of them are not any where close to where they should be within the scenery - could be that I am running an unaltered/not updated FSX - but overall the results were pretty weird for me...... However, I did not have any BLACK/BLANK textures for the models.

Regards Mate,

Hello Garry...

..yep...it doesn't always work.

I have a habit of trying things out... ....

...sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't....

But...hey...its fun..and it passes the time!.... ...!

Paul..The Ultimate Experimenter!.... ...!

P.S...with the objects in FSX that are black...I just pretend that the sun is not shining on them.... ;) ... ...!

Good stuff mate - nothing wrong with experimenting - I do that just about all day every day <<q

If you don't push boundaries and try different things then life would be a bit boring - and not as much fun.......

I've been spending the past two days comparing the Blackhawk Project installed on both my FS 2004, and my FSX.

Both a completely different experience!
With my FSX version, with all its many scenery enhancements, it is a truly magical experience, with a complex road system (Ultimate Terrain FSX) carrying live road vehicles amongst the Fantasy Scenery!

It is certainly worth a try, for Simmers who no longer have FS 2004 on their shelf...It will be an added treat!!

I just need to figure out how to fix the "missing textures" on some of the important scenery objects and buildings in my FSX version...(if it can be done?). All the models are there...just that some are missing their textures!

Paul...Relegated to Fantasy Land!... ...!

"We who are about to fly salute you."

I must say, it's a real treat buzzing about, land, sea, and air. You all did a great job, our compliments to you. A bunch of fun flying spots, easy on FS9 frames, and lots of stuff to see.

Thanks for it all, we all appreciate it to the max.

Each time I wander around the various islands, I am amazed at the vast number of individual Blackhawk objects placed there!
A surprise around every corner.
I have been addicted to it for days now!
It certainly is a fantasy tour!

I tour around in my little Bensen B8 Gyrocopter, which makes it ideal to take-off and land on a sixpence!

The Project would be an excellent exercise for a Multiplayer Fly-in or Air Show, etc.... :D ...!

Flight Sim; FS Navigator, Plan-G, and FS Tramp, Sat Nav Maps are very useful for locating the various places within the Island group.

Well done to the Ford Blackhawk Project Team!.... ...!
