FALSE PHONY STORY Be Advised

Postby Jetranger » Wed Jan 21, 2015 8:28 am

Just came off the Sim Flight web site , where there apparently is a short report about using FSX Steam Edition, and - " Supposedly" - a Video along with the story that "Supposedly" shows multiplayer using - FSX STEAM EDITION .

Its Wrong and Phony !!

How do I know this ?? :?

Because , afterwards I went to YOU TUBE by chance, and look what was staring me in the face, the exact same video posted on August 2nd 2011 :o :o :o

Original YOU TUBE Video by : AirforceProud95 , You Tube user name.

Geeee guess STEAM has been out all this time huh ????

So, heres the original story : http://www.simflight.com/

Showing supposedly Multi-Player in FSX Steam edition (supposedly) ???

and heres the link to the actual August 2nd 2011 Video on YOU TUBE : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6TsTEcUadE

and heres the August 2nd 2011 YOU TUBE VIDEO (Below).

There the same Video, so how can it be Multi-Player in Steam ?????? :?  :o :o :o

Appears somebody fed the reporter a line of Bull, and who was to know any different except sum dude known as Jetranger :o :D

.... ... ...!

It just goes to show...

..never believe anything!.... ;) ....!

I tried a short burst of Multiplayer in the FSX Steam version, and it was utter chaos, compared with our (sensible) Multiplayer Flights in our original FSX (and FS 2002/FS 2004) version, using the FS Host Servers.
For all my Multiplayer flights with my FS Chums I still use FS Host and FS Host Client (FSX) for connections. That way we can decide who we accompany on the flights!

The one thing I regret in the original FSX version, is the lack of the "Multiplayer" option in the drop-down Menu during flight, (the same as it is in FS 2004) which allows the Pilots to connect with Multiplayer within the flight, without having to exit, and restart the Sim each time!

Paul.... ...!

Tip for Multiplayer Pilots: "Plan-G" GPS moving map will show both you and your fellow pilots positions on the map (in the same area)...the same is it does in "FS Navigator" for FS 2004.

As most of you know by now I was a Beta tester for the Steam Edition and I can assure you that the Multiplayer did not function they had to fix it. I never found out if they fixed it or not. I do not use the multi player at all. I have belonged to VATSIM but no longer.
What started out as being fun turned out to be a disaster the problem was some of the controllers expected you to be a Licensed pilot. If you asked them to repeat to many times they would kick you off the net work. The other thing I hated about it was you could see what appeared to be a Cessna 150 but at a altitude of flight 350??? I knew something was fishy for sure. You have to have the same aircraft as the others have in order to see what they are actually flying.
