I've got your gun free zone right here

What are you laughing at?

I've got your gun free zone right here

Actually, Webb, I acquiesce implementing the sign but, regrettably, not in the humour section. In earlier years and when I went home on leave, I spent time with my younger cousins in Sandy Hook, CT.

When I posted this I thought it was fake. I later discovered it is a real sign from a real school in Arkansas but it was too late to modify the post. So it's probably not that funny any more.

Isn't a gun free zone any civilized part of the world outside of redneck USA?

I'd advise against comments like this, they tend to blow up into a flame war.......

I hope there will be signs like that in our country like a gun free zone.

Sorry but I fail to see what would have been funny about this in the first place.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

True, perhaps this should have been posted in, say, the General section, but we all know that the sign, being real, as Webb stated, is an ironic reality of today, and also serves as notice to all and a deterrent to any wrong do-ers. We also know that any "armed and trained" staffer would be authorized to carry.

There's an old saying somewhere, "To keep the peace, you must be prepared for war". I see that sign as a slight analogical restatement of that old saying. Let's hope that deadly force will never have to be used there.

Unfortunately, it's a sad sign of the times.

Ten thousand people can express it ten thousand ways, but in its essence, it can be reduced to this:
Cultures viewing aberrant behavior as acceptable will see an acceleration in extreme behavior over time.

Or as a well respected southern personage has said: We have met the enemy and he is us.

In my young School Days, many years ago, "deadly force" would have meant a visit to the Headmaster, and a good caning!

Worked wonders for we Lads!

Attention criminals:
This is a gun-free zone. All the law-abiding citizens have been disarmed to make them easier prey for you to rob, rape and murder. Enjoy your selves.

I seem to recall a gun-free country, back in 1939...

"When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

All I'm going to say.
Have fun, fly high, far, and free!

Easy boys, this post is from well over a year ago and the reviver only has one post and most likely had links removed by staff. The OP, Web has explained and said if he could remove it he would have. Below is a proper gun post that no one can argue about.

Quite, joins, makes one post in a thread that is very, very old. Must have been rooting around or found it from a picture search link to here and thought...........I know, I'll have some fun......?

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
