Speed of flight, are you still out there?

We haven't heard from you for a couple of months.

Did you switch to X-Plane or something?

I would not switch to X-plane just yet, no.
I have however, cashed in on the new Steam Edition of FSX, and have nothing but good to report of its potential.
Right out I the box, it ran at 65 FPS with my setup, and I have seen numerous posts about third-party support from folks like PMDG to be implemented here shortly. Good things happening.
Multiplayer is back! So, when all the bugs get worked out, it will be the future of our favorite simulator, and rightfully so.

How has everybody else been? Maybe I should start a new thread over this one...

Good to see you back.

As far as FSX Steam goes, everything that I've heard is pretty good news. It actually sounds better than we could have hoped for.

Yes, there are problems, but that was to be expected at launch.

I was afraid that they might want to be the sole source for add-ons. Fortunately, they seem to be working with the software & hardware people.

It looks like we aren't going to have another Microsoft Flight.

Another good side to FSX-SE is that it isn't going to pull everyone in s different direction. For the moment FSX, FSX-SE, and Pr3par3d still have much in common.

Anyway, I'm glad that you're back.

I do not know if you ever solved your problem or not. I can tell you that If your Acceleration was purchased separately than that is your problem.
When Acceleration was first released it created all kinds of problems which was the main reason I avoided it like the plague. Most of the problems seemed to involve non default aircraft. For one reason or the other added aircraft presented problems I do not remember what they were.
My nephew has a copy of the first version of acceleration and when he added any aircraft FSX would crash to desktop.
Your best bet would be to obtain a copy of FSX GOLD which comes with a fixed version of Acceleration. I would not trust just updating the version that you have with a service pack. as that might not solve the problem. I am not certain what the difference is between the two versions are but I do know the one that comes with FSX Gold works.
I hope you find the problem and get it fixed.
