Will put in....

Postby Flying Trucker » Sun Nov 16, 2014 8:14 am

Goodly morning all...

It is 08:10 or there about here...been snowing all night...not accumulating much...plows and sanders not out...

Santa Clause Parade this evening...Christmas Lights show much better on the floats when it is dark... ;)

I have several things to do when I see Santa Clause tonight on the last float.

I shall pass him a note for all you nonbeliever's of Santa Clause. :o

I will ask him to be generous with his giving's to all the members of Simviation who have been good all year...

I am also going to ask him to send "Fozzer" Paul a set of Red Flannel Long Johns with the rear trap door so he can do simulated flights here in Canada, ride his motorcycle in comfort while remaining nice and warm... :)

Have to go as the Old Girl is getting ready to go get saved and I have some things to do in my wee little shed in the underground parking...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

P.S. Dear Santa
A $1000.00 gift certificate to FS Pilot Shop would be nice.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Santa Clause parade was great last night...

There was a light snow falling which made for a nice winter atmosphere, many marching bands with (80) eighty well lit floats.

I still think they have the Santa Clause Parade much too early...it should be sometime in December.
The stores all seem to decorate for Christmas right after Halloween and prior to Remembrance Day which was a no no when I was a youngster... :o

It snowed most of the night and it is still snowing...

We just heard there was a tractor trailer accident on one of the highways and the main highway going into Toronto several cars collided and caught fire. That is a divided highway so how they collided not sure but I would think speed and lack of driving experience during winter driving conditions had something to do with it.

Not enough snow to do some actual flying with takeoffs and landings on skis here, however some areas of Canada they are lucky enough to have a good accumulation of snow to use the aircraft skis... ;)

Well hopefully none of you will get a lump of coal in your Christmas Stocking this year as I did put in a good word for all of you...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

..... :( ....!

Well Doug....

I could do with that lump of coal......and the stocking.... ...!

I would put the lump of coal inside the stocking, and set alight to the whole lot, to keep me warm over the winter months....

Thanks Paul...

The reason I am back on this electronic gizmo is I now have time to do some simulated flying. We just got a call from some friends who were going to be here for supper, the Old Girl made Lasagna but they turned around to go home about a third of the way here. :o

Apparently there are vehicles off the road in many locations. Here the snow has changed to rain making it nasty for those walking.

Well we have always told our children and grandchildren if you are not comfortable driving in nasty weather conditions, stop somewhere safe or turn around.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

The Old Girl is a wonderful Chef Paul...actually I am not bad either...

I do enjoy checking the ingredients when you post a meal Paul...too many cooks can spoil the broth but it does not hurt to find some new ideas when cooking, your food posts are found quite interesting by the Old Girl and a couple of other Nattering Nannies who come to play Bridge once a week... ;)
