FSX Glitchy textures

Postby Maverick377 » Tue Nov 11, 2014 8:10 pm

Hello All,

I recently installed some textures from REX 4 Texture direct onto my FSX. Now the taxi lines and runway markings are super glitchy and progressive taxi no longer works. Any idea how to fix this? I managed to fix it before I got a new computer but I can't remember how I fixed it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Welcome, Maverick.

What do you mean "... installed some textures from REX 4 Texture direct onto my FSX."?

You copied & pasted them?

If the "textures" were given to you by a friend, buy the program and use that to install the textures. Might work better that way.

Haha no I legitly bought the product. By installing the texture I picked one of the textures to improve the taxiway markings so they look more detailed. After REX installed the texture within FSX my taxiway marking looked improved however they were incredibly glitchy to where sometimes you could see them and sometimes you can't.

Hopefully this clears any confusion if not I can try to explain in better detail

If you let REX install the runway textures, as opposed to you copping the textures to a folder, then it's not going to be a REX problem.

Several possibilities that pop into mind would be underpowered graphics card, high definition runway textures/low resolution settings in FSX, or bad third party scenery.

I've had add-on scenery where the mesh elevation was just a little bit off.

Once we can see what your problem is, I'm sure we can give you a MUCH better answer.
