Welcome FA. oops fordangia. I can remember a friend of mine in East Anglia bought a new one in 1967 straight from the dealer. We looked it over and found multiple rust spots all over the sills. He took it back to the dealer and all they said about it was "What do you expect for a thousand quid?"

Hi Laurie, I think Old Warden might have one or two more weekends before buttoning up the hangars, I'll check my airshow calendar when I get home for you ;-)

You just missed it. Look out for my photos from last Sunday. The next show at Old Warden is in May next year.
There's a few more fly-ins this year but I think that's about all.

This is the events calendar I use. http://events.royalaeroclub.org/

Hi there logjam, thanks for the funny story there, it sounds like quite a few of my old motors,

but a new one being rusty?, I'd be well upset...lol

Cheers, Ford.

Hi there Ozzy, I've noticed that you're the man to ask about events, think I've left it a tad too late this year though.

Many thanks, Ford.

Thanks Hagar, that's excellent! I'll also be looking at your photos.

I shall be using that in future. I'll just have to console myself with loads of sim-flying instead.

Oh no!

Great work. Ford.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Hi Laurie, here's next years mission planner ;-) http://www.air-shows.org.uk/uk-and-euro ... ndar-2015/
Now we used to have a Crimbo get together of UK Simviators at RAF Hendon in December, hasn't been done for a few years. Who's up for it? It is a heap of fun meeting all your online mates and giggling like school children for a day :-D I've been lucky enough to hang out with quite a number of our UK members, and they're ace peeps to a man. I can't imagine a more fun group of mischief makers and aviation fanatics :-D
