G'day, mesh and uploading files?

Postby drunkapple » Sat Sep 06, 2014 10:16 pm

Hiho, Kermit the Frog here. Oops wrong show!

G'Day All,

I have had fsx for some time but never played it and recently I got interested and installed it. Anyhow I was looking at the scenery and meshes etc and have a lot of dem on file so I decided to make the best Aussie mesh that money just can't buy. So far I have made South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

Once I complete all the meshes can I upload them to this site for free distribution thanks? I estimate the total size will be about 1GB, normally I would keep them on my web server but I do not have the space available.

Thank you and cheers

That sounds great! VERY cool!!!

The best way to pack them - if possible - will be in sets of not much more than 300MB if possible?

Maybe state by state - areas, etc?

If you need any help just ask. 8-)

Thanks Pete,

Should be ready by next weekend, it'll be a bit bigger than my original estimate. Without West Oz and Queensland the files add up to 800MB.

G'Day Cobbers,

Recently I discovered an ugly artifact of my mesh, the pink stuff around the edge squashes the elevation by more than 30,000m. Anyhow I have made replacements for all 9 Australian tiles and I have also made new New Zealand 15m mesh without pink stuff.

Pete can you please delete the 10 files I uploaded as Brett Simtropolis and I will then upload the replacements.

Thanks

G'Day Cobbers,

I have completed re-posting the updated 30m Australian mesh, no squishiness for miles. <<r

I have also replaced the 25m New Zealand mesh with new 15m mesh, it was also suffering squishiness and a couple of humps. (Somebody read the jigger wrong.)

Anyhow, thank you very much and enjoy.
