Goodly morning all...

Why would anyone want to be on an electronic gizmo or be a couch potato watching the boob tube when they can get outside and see scenes like in the below Link?

The Old Girl and I drive the country roads in our trusty Land Rovers to view the Autumn Colours.

When our friends or family are available we jump into a Cessna or Piper and view the wonderful Autumn/Fall colours from the air.

Much to the annoyance of the Old Girl I take along a ham and cheese sandwich with mayo on dark rye bread, green onions and hot tea to enjoy while admiring Mother Natures canvas.

Indian Summer is here and we are out each and every day, hence the lack of my attendance on the forum.

Wait till the winter and we have some nice snow storms and I shall be back in full force to annoy you lot...

With the Old Girl away doing volunteer work again I shall be aviating with a friend and his Piper Super Cub which shall turn into a Supermarine Spitfire before days end...

Yeah, quite a sight.

Well, we don't get those colors here in S Florida, but if you want a spectacular drive, from Miami down to Key West on the Overseas Highway, with the Atlantic on one side, and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, and that salty ocean air filling your nostrils all the way. Check it out on Google Maps.

Its Autumn for me, and its scaring me a bit, knowing that the dreaded Winter is just around the corner!.... ....!

So I'm making the most of it in my daily Bike rides whilst I still have the chance before the snow and ice sets in!... ...!

Kurt why not try something a little slower like a Cessna 172 or even better a Piper Cub...low and slow over the Fall Foliage makes all the difference in the world...

Paul, having not rode a motorcycle very often during the winter months, but seeing the military and some other private owners of motorcycles operating them during the winter with or without a sidecar and on various road conditions, I wonder if you have thought of attaching a sidecar for winter use?

Have seen many newer types of motorcycles here with sidecars attached to them, they actually look quite nice and are becoming more frequent on the roads.

I've had a few British Motor Bikes fitted with various Sidecars to transport my Wife and family (4 children in a 4-seather Sidecar!) around in the 1950's and 1960's, not having a Motor car during those times.
Perfect transport on icy roads!
The thing is, most modern Japanese motorcycles nowadays are not designed for Sidecars to be attached to them. The frames are not designed to have suitable lugs welded on the frames for Sidecar attachment like they did in the Olden Days, and fitting a Sidecar would nullify the warranty, and be very dangerous.
A Sidecar outfit would take up as much room on our severely congested roads as a Motor Car nowadays, and spoil the joy and freedom of Solo Motorcycling!
Sidecar outfits nowadays would be a speciality...very rare!

A definite knack in operating a Sidecar outfit when cornering!
Lots of fun though...and the Rider still gets wet and cold!

Prior to checking out this site I was outside, the Old Girl is at church getting saved again...

A nice black with lots of chrome trim motorcycle with sidecar went down the street. Not sure the make as was too far back but I did notice it had a headlight and running lights on the sidecar.

It is and was raining so the unit was very easy to see.

It did not look all that big to me but again I was three hundred feet away. Trying to remember if the sidecar had a top on it or not...

And the weather is getting rougher in my back garden, Matt!

I tapped on my trusty Barometer this morning, and the indicated pressure suddenly dropped from 1023 mB (30.21 in) down to 985 mB (29.09 in), which indicates very stormy weather on the way!

Low pressure = Stormy weather.
High pressure = Fine weather

I like high pressure!... ...!

We always tried to fly from a High Pressure Area to a Low Pressure Area and sometimes it was quicker than the Direct Route from Point to Point.
