The first guy hasn't been tested for ebola yet, it doesn't say his symptoms are consistent with ebola, he has no history that would indicate ebola. It could be an infected toenail for all we know.

How will a modern/wealthy health system cope with ebola? The death rate will no doubt improve from the 70% in Liberia, perhaps to something like 20%. Immediate access to doctors and the isolation methods will prevent further serious transmissions.

It's important to know how the disease is and is not transmitted, and how it has been transmitted. We can safely walk thru a mall etc without worrying about it. As a rule, I generally watch out for anyone sneezing or coughing and keep my distance anyway, it's always wise to take that precaution anywhere:
