From India with love...

Postby Fozzer » Fri Sep 26, 2014 3:47 pm

...or from Fozzer's kitchen!.... ;) ...!

Its 8:00 PM and I'm thinking to myself, (as I generally do), what am I am going to make nice and tasty for Supper tonight at 10:30 PM, before I go to bed with my Rupert Bear?

And after long 15 second conversation with myself, myself decided that I should go for a hot, spicy, fiery, Madras Curry and Rice!

Problemo Sorted!

Madras Curry and Rice!

Image

Ingredients:
Virgin Olive Oil.
Chopped Onion.
Chopped Red Chilli.
Chopped Garlic.
Garlic Paste.
Chopped Mushrooms. (Alternative in liew of meat, which is too bloody expensive!).
Mrs. Patak's Madras Curry Paste. (A generous dollop!)
Coconut Milk.
Water as required for consistency.

Slowly softened and cooked in a small non-stick saucepan.

Separate Saucepan:
Basmati Rice, rinse in cold water, boiled for 10 minutes and rinsed.

Served on a HOT plate with a Buttered French Stick, and a glass of something nice, (preferably alcoholic...13% or more!).

I know I've posted this recipe before, but it is always lovely and tasty every time I do it!
If its something nice, I cant help repeating it!
My tummy loves nice tasty things to eat, and most of it is very good for me!

Paul...aka; Calcutta Chowdry... :D ...!

P.S...and there's enough left over for tomorrow night's Supper... ...!

Well...
....its now Saturday evening, and as promised, I still had some Curry left over from the previous night, so I added another really big spoonful of Mrs. Patak's Madras Curry Paste to really spice things up, 'cos I love hot spicy things*, and some more Coconut milk.

So.... together with another helping of Basmati Rice together with some crusty, buttered French Stick bread, and a glass (or more) of Australian Red Vino, (good-on-ya Sports!), it looks like another nice Supper coming up!... :D ...!

Cheers, one and all!.... ...!

Paul... ...!

* P.S.... I think that I should upgrade to "Vindaloo", for that extra kick!... ;) ...!

Looks and sounds delicious Paul...

We have a lot of different Curry Dishes and the Old Girl throws a Bib (Top part of an apron; covering the chest) over my shirt when we eat as Curry will discolor just about everything including kitchen counter tops.

The old saying still stands:

Hot Food...Hot Women and Cold Drinks... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
